So anyway... went wedding dress shopping this evening and it was great! Hated most of the dresses in the shop (lol) but did really love two - unfortunately they are £1,200 and £1,500!!!!!!!!!! :eek: I am going hunting on eBay and other sites for them to see if I can find them 2nd hand.

I came home afterwards and tried on my Monsoon dress again. It is still fabulous but doesn't hold me in as firmly as the other dresses (which are roasting hot by the way!!! Way to lose weight before your wedding = wear the dress every day!). Maybe some strong support underwear would help...

Tomorrow I'm off to a vintage bridal shop so am hoping for good things!

I got my first pair on of wedding shoes on eBay ( after buying Vivienne Westwood and a gorgeous pair of irregular choices ones, both two small) and my second pair in new look for £15! ( the white / cream ones!) I got my veil for under £15 but it is a birdcage veil so will be much cheaper, just really shop around, there are a number of wedding forums that have for sale bits x

Glad you enjoyed dress shopping! I'm off to do it on Saturday with my best friend who is getting married next year, and I can't wait to do it all again for her. Also going bridesmaid dress shopping for me, which will be exciting.

I also tried on 2 dresses at lunchtime in the vintage shop, they are both fab but slightly too small. The label says 'JENNINGS' in caps. I can't seem to find any 'Jennings' bridal dresses online, anyone heard of them?

Oooh those dresses are gorgeous!! The first one is similar to mine (mine was La Sposa Furor) so may be worth having a look at La Sposa online? I'll have a look-see for you on the net. What size do you need? If necessary can you pay to have it altered?

I would defo consider 2nd hand, this is MSE after all!!! :rotfl: Thanks so much. I am soooo tempted to buy one of them from that US website. If I use my CC it will offer protection if the site doesn't deliver, non?

I can have it altered, there are a few dressmakers around here who do wedding dresses.

I'd need a size 12 at present but am furiously trying to lose a stone so reckon an 8-10 by the time I'm done!
