I am sick of Yodel too. I ordered something from Amazon that was due for delivery by 2nd december. Yodel have had the parcel at the local depot since 1st december and still haven't even attempted to deliver:mad:

  • peeps, 1 million delivered a week with 50 complaints would equate to above 99% service level. Most companies out there that offer high service levels can only offer 99% and most do actually state this.

Unless you've worked ina delivery network before, you wouldn't believe the hard work and effort we put in to make sure all customers receive there parcels on the required delivery dates and in good condition. It's not always the delivery company thats at fault but we do end up with all the responsibillity.

And yet DPD manage to do it - you get a 2 hour slot as part of the standard service. And it can't be that difficult (or expensive) to achieve, or Amazon wouldn't be using DPD.

Feedback to Amazon has, I gather, been excellent for DPD, reasonable for CityLink - but awful for Yodel. It won't take Amazon too long to decide what to do - they really do NOT like hacking off their customers.

DPD charge more than Yodel and use self employed people, delivering roughly half of what I do a day.Do half as much and you can do twice as good a job, pretty simple.
Amazon also use Hermes and Royal Mail. They don't put all their eggs in one basket in case one particular company has problems.

I had 2 amazing amazon deliverys with Citysprint and both low value items (one was only 99p !!) although i have a prime account

    Ordered 7:00pm 5 Dec 2011
    Delivered 1:30pm 6 Dec 2011

    Ordered 11:00pm 1 Dec 2011
Delivered 09:20am 3 Dec 2011 Saturday (didnt pay extra for saturday delivery)

if they can do it, why cant yodel ! please amazon drop yodel and use citysprint, dpd and other people who do what they say... deliver ! Id even say come back citylink... all is forgiven

I made an online order with ELC on Monday 5th Dec and yesterday had email confirmation all 3 items had been despatched, This morning I had an email from ELC saying that my order was being delivered today with one of their couriers and would be delivered by 9pm - but after waiting in all day it hasn't arrived. I have just looked on the Early Learning site and their parcel courier is YODEL:( I've only just read a few posts on the first page but like some posters i also have an intercom system to my flat, so if someone does arrive and there is no answer they can either try the warden to gain access or another flat and then leave a card in my post box. I have checked outside my door and no parcel has been left, but the delivery dates on ELC site state that an order placed on Monday Dec 3rd would be delivered on a Friday, so I don't know wether to contact them after 9pm tomorrow or do I try and contact Yodel as I'm not sure who is at fault here? I hate waiting in again and am to concerned to leave my flat even for 5 mins incase I miss delivery.
  • My recent deliverys from YODEL have been on time and in good condition, a driver did make mistake on one item and post the small item through the wrong letter box, but did put a note in both letterboxes, but recorded on the computer as "left in shed" and as I had no shed made me very worried until I got home to find the note, but I guess there is no option for ooops make a mistake.
Power is good, but then you get the bill....
  • Now having to totally agree that these people are WORSE than Hermes. 4 days of limbo and the inability to find a 60 year old house (like they tried....)

Well 68 hours after dispatch, the parcel has finally shown up on the tracking (but not via link provided by retailer, through My Yodel). Since it is only showing as received this morning I won't expect it anytime soon, delivery date given is on or before 14th December.

When it gets here a complaint is going to retailer, I thought couriers were supposed to be quick, may well have sent it Royal Mail!
  • Yodel tried to deliver a parcel on Sunday whilst I was out. I went on line, arranged re-delivery for yesterday (8th Dec) and consequently booked the day off work. I didn't leave the property all day but nobody arrived with my parcel. You can't email Yodel because all you get is a redelivery request, neither can you ring them as all you get is an automated line asking when you want re-delivery. All I want to know is why they didn't deliver! You can't arrange delivery over the weekends, so my main Christmas gift for my partner is now in limbo. The depot is miles away from my home, in an area I don't know and I don't have transport or access to a car. I have therefore had to contact the seller and request a refund. Yodel have let me down.:mad::mad:
