Thanks NPM I've not read anything about it yet at all as am wary of looking up illness on the Internet.
I'm about ready to go home, were going out of dinner tomorrow then back to OS on Sunday, will need to make a list of things to do, deep clean the house, bedding, clothes. Meal planning too! Going to attempt to not shop again this month!
Fish and chips for tea tonight, the hospital to say goodbye to grandad

Afternoon all,
JulieGeorgiana...what wonderful news, you have my sympathy on on rotten pregnancy health, had morning sickness non-stop with DD1 and know what you mean about smells....went off oranges completely and it was at least 20 years before I could be in the same room as someone peeling an orange without feeling nauseous. Hopefully you will have no trouble from now on, every day gives your baby a better chance.
NPM....I had irregularity from the time DD4 was born, when I was 36, so seems common. To be sure that all is ok have a smear whenever is practical as that was something I neglected somewhat and was sorry, but that's another story. You have never let Noah down in his life, so no guilt tripping yourself, its undeserved!
Helped OH to put back the wheel on lawnmower, he is now buzzing up and down the back lawn with the dogs checking on him to make sure he is doing it properly...talking of dogs, Mossy has been getting out onto the road and driving me nuts, went this morning to buy one of those collar things for his neck which is combined with a wire thingy to give him a shock if he went outside a designated area....got to counter and OH decided that it wasn't fair to keep him from running round fields....don't mind that, just don't want the b***er killed either! Upshot was that we left the thingy there and not sure what OH plans on doing....I have washed my hands of the whole thing....think an acre is enough scope for 2 dogs!
Dinner to-day is fish, wedges (hm) French beans and whatever sweet I manage to make. Have apples almost dried in dehydrator and will put another lot in when they are finished, there are beans to be dried and beetroot to be cooked, it is delicious so never seem to cook enough, have been taking slices off big cooked heads as snack.....mmmmmm. We have lots of lettuce with more coming on, some peppers which I don't think will ever turn red, courgettes, tomatoes so am very happy with produce at present.
I really will have to start writing things down as seem to forget everything I have read as soon as....hugs, good wishes and positive vibes to all....Beth enjoy your weekend.

Julie67 – Wow such a full house?!?!?! It must be a hassle, bet you love having people around though. Still finding time to read library books or has that gone astray too??
Candygirl and Hardup Hester – Thank You J
LouLou – Thank you, I hope you feel better soon, sound rotten. I find pills never work for period pains, until I started on New Era (Herbal) and they would dull the pain, add paracetamol and it’s a godsend. Really works a lot! I am planning on using them after the baby is born for the afterpains I think they are that good. Maybe worth a try?
Ps. Baby is due 9th January
Meanmarie – With DS9 I was sick 9 months, but felt fine within myself and just got on with it… went off fish pie though, still can’t eat the stuff! This time I feel rotten and when I worked I had two days off sick for every day in the office and needed friends to look after DS9! As for smells it onions and garlic… which is my whole menu out of the window! Can’t do chicken at all or sausages… so I am on mince meat and stewed beef! LOL I swear the baby is vegetarian, it likes only my Carrot and Lentil Soup! Thinking I should start a pool for what sex the baby is based on symptoms! Today I was told it MUST be a girl….We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. Afternoon all
JulieGeorgina - fantastic newsthanks for sharing x
NPM - hope fatcat is ok
Not been in the best of moods today, feeling tired and a bit sorry for myself. I thought the B12 injections were meant to perk me up, but I still feel so exhaustedThis week I've done nothing in the evenings cos I've been far to tired. Also feeling a bit 'woe is me' as it seems almost all the people I went to school with are now engaged/married/have kids/pregnant etc (and my school year was big!). Just feel a bit carp that I'm all on my own
I'll get over it.
OS wise - laundry needs to be put away, may put WM on. Think I'll batch cook some veggie chilli, have some for tea with fajitas and freeze the rest. I need to do some paperwork sorting and hoilday stuff too.
Have a good evening all

Hi everyone,
Hester, I'm the opposite - I'm still getting them at 53 - not regularly but I can't wait for them to end. I do know how you feel NPM, we wanted a third but it never happened, once I passed 40 I had the occasional scare that terrified me.
JulieG congratulations, here's hoping for an uneventful second half of the pregnancy.
I've been reading so a belated congrats to Candygirl and SOTD. Also to all those whose offspring got good results (and commiserations to those who didn't quite make it).
Bramble, I'm glad grandad is well enough to come home. My dad is determined to stay at home (he has cancer of the oesophagus and a tumour in his lung), but I don't know how that will work out as mum isn't well enough to look after him. It's not an issue at the moment though as he's keeping well and has put on over half a stone in the last 4 months.
The only OS going on at the mo is the usual cooking and cleaning. I've not been baking because I've been going to weightwatchers, hopefully DS and gf will come over on sunday and I'll bake some goodies for them to take home with them.0 -
Julie G what lovely news :jand thanks for letting us know xxx
Hugs to flutterby xxx0 -
JulieGeorgina, lovely news. Not nice that your feeling so poorly with it.
Just finished washing and drying the dinner things. DD slept through dinner. 6th form must be so exhausting! I dread to think how she will be when it starts properly on Monday :rotfl:.
I know i am probably sounding stupid but can i freeze a packet of ham? The date it has to be used by is tomorrow but i don't want to throw it out if i haven't got to.
Glad it's Friday, it seems to have been such a long week.
Hope everyone has a good evening and hugs to those who need them.

Hi all, im not sure if this is the right thread to post this on as im fairly new (only second day!) but thought as it was genereal chitchat it would be ok! its just basically saying what im having for tea tonight as i'm quite proud of it being a thrifty meal! (again im quite new so may not be as thrifty as some but i think im doing ok!) I also love reading these kinds of posts, would love to hear what everyone is having for tea maybe a regular confident poster could start a thread on this? Im having a jacket potato which i will scoop out the filling and mix it with basics tuna, grated basics mature cheddar, own brand mustard and salt and pepper
Im starving so im gonna put a poached egg on top as well! (basics still free range though) I would estimate this tea costing about 70p! I am just cooking for one tonight, as hubbie is on a night shift and we had dinner quite late so he decided to get his tea at work, and we gave littleone a similar tea but no mustard!
Hes in bed now and im looking forward to watching big brother!!
