Oh wow JulieGeorgiana that is wonderful news :jpositive vibes are being sent your way.
NPM yes my hormones went haywire at 41, my weight shot up and I had a couple of pregnancy scares so do the test and then ask your GP for a hormone test, that should give you some inclination as to wether you are starting the menopause they say it takes 10 years to go through so it could be that x
Poor Fat cat I hope the vet finds out what is wrong with her and that Noah doesn't kick off too much when she is not there.

Off to pick up DS his space marines game and pay a few bills today bit difficult with no scooter so we will park as near to the bank and game shop as we can.
Bright and dry here so I have put a load of washing out in the hope that it stays dry all day.

Well must go DH is bellowing - he can be a rea PITA sometimes - I miss my scooter already :(

So BFN and I will catch up later x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • JulieG - :T:T Great news for you all, all the best of health for you and yours :j:j:j:D

Npm- and why didn't you get a test whilst out :p. Hope FC is ok xx

  • Good morning all

    Molly41 - sending positive vibes!

Hester - Good luck with the Saturday job!

Julie67 - I know the feeling re: being lucky in love but not with money. I know I'd rather be poor with my DH than rich with anyone else, but sometimes wish that life would cut us a bit of slack!

Bramble - Hope your grandad is on the mend now

Tiredmum - We all deserve a treat now and then, so I wouldn't feel the least bit guilty about it (easier said than done sometimes though!)

NPM - Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. Hope some of the other ladies can advise you (but I'd probably do a test anyway just to be sure!)

JulieGeorgiana - What lovely news! Congratulations! :T

((Hugs)) to anyone in need (and sorry if I missed you)

Busy day for me today. Took DD1 to school and headed to the shops first thing - managed to buy some C*****mas presents in the end of summer sales so feeling quite smug. :o

Home Bargains had some lovely patchwork/applique doorstops for £2.99 which will make nice pressies. I know it's not very OS to buy them but I really couldn't make them for that price. I also got a cardigan for my granny (nearly 91) in the Edinburgh Woollen Mill reduced down to £8 from £20, and a few stocking fillers in The Works. I also got a bumper bag of hyacinth bulbs for less than £2 which I'm going to plant in pretty bowls as gifts for my mum, MIL and granny (and anyone else I can foist one onto).:p

Plans for the rest of the day - Put the BM on, tackle the never ending washing mountain, skate round and do as much housework as I can before it's school-run time again, and (if I have time) bake a cake for the weekend.

Dinner tonight will be macaroni cheese with some left over bacon bits in, with whatever veg I can find in the fridge, followed by baked apples.

    Have a good day!

    Evie

  • NPM – LOL I had the same! Only I kept keeling over in Church… they now sit me down on a soft chair and won’t let me stand during the service J My DH takes me up for communion, and the girls have been doing my flower arranging for me J

JG – Yes I remember, I was so stubborn I tried to meal plan for the boys and kept posting, then realised that working out food for them made me sicker… and they both gained weight as my DH gave them a diet of chips and quiche! I just started meal planning at home in the last two weeks J
Baby Roo is defiantly going to love being Old Style!

Beemuzed – it’s worth it in the end to have a healthy baby. I hope to start being around more as I keep getting better J

Butterfly Brain, Bargain Bird and Evie74 – Thank You x

Oh and I completely forgot, DH got a new job (Starts in November) which gives us enough money to move from a 2 to a 3 bed house next summer. And the area (40 miles away) is in the middle of the countryside… and Is closer to family J

  • JulieG Congratulations wonderful news it looks like things are looking up all round for you I am so pleased as you seem to have been through the mill this year .How exciting a new little MSE to train :)
NPM I think you should do a test I know its maybe not what you want but if there is a little one then fingers crossed for you as well.My Mum was told she had stomach cancer in the early stages of her pregnacy with me as she was 44.two months before I was born another Dr. told her that it wasn't cancer but a baby and at first she couldn't believe it as in those days late pregnacies weren't that common and she had already had my two brothers the last was twins and one didn't survive.Well a bomb landed across the road from where we lived in the east end and I arrived a month early much to her suprise as she had only just got used to the idea. She was 45 and my Dad 55 he was chuffed to bits and I think Mum was after I arrived. She thought that she was going through the change but here I am 68 years later bright -eyed and bushey tailed and my middle brother who was the weaker twin and weighed in at a fraction under 2lb is alive and kicking and living in France. He slept in a chest of drawers box for the first 6 months of his life as he was so tiny.So I am a great believer if its meant to be then it will happen but if not then relax.I know life can be a bit fraught for you with the care of your DS but who knows what lies ahead for you.I send you my best wishes and hope what you decide and want come true
Just put a line of washing out for DD and also for me.Tomorrow I'm off to see my sis-in-law in Faversham and we are going out for a meal in the evening and a good long chinwag and maybe a glass of something. She sadly lost her Mum a couple of months ago and shes been tooing and froing to Didcot to sort all her Mums house out as its going to be sold .its a 250 round trip so not something that can be done quickly.Right I'm off to see what I can find for lunch Have a nice day whatever you maybe doing
