Ok, ive put this here because it kind of has to do with family but nowt to do with money saving.
I need someone to give me some advice, and I feel really stupid asking to be honest.
Im having a recurring nightmare which is about something really horrible, I wake each night because me in the dream is freaking out and im drenched in sweat. I cant be dreaming long as far as im aware because I remember the same 'clip' from each night.
I havent had a recurring nightmare since I was a small child and im 32 now!! Please does anyone have any idea how to stop it because im waking up every night horrified.

First port of call is your GP. He will hopefully prescribe something to help you sleep without anxiety.0

So what is the dream about, usually its to do with something within your life, coming from your subconcious, something that you fear etc.
More details about the dream then.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I used to have recurring dreams - not so much nightmare but the same thing - waking up in work place in a bed with people carrying on all around me talkin to me every so often.. well freaky..just to edit.. what mckneff saying was quite apt for me.. I had left my last work place whilst bein signed off sick and I think i was a bit gutted for the way i left and never had the chance for proper goodbyes etc. ok ok it might not make sense to some but to me it does lol... it is personal issues though - but am over it now.
wish i could get the perfect dream for gerard butler now!! hehe0 -
ok, im in a room that for some reason I know is in a building in the middle of nowhere, my kids are with me and the door infront of us is locked. Some Psychopath has got us (husband isnt there), the door opens, psycho comes in but I have no idea what he looks like and drags my son out of my arms to take him to another room to torture him (dont ask me how I know this). DS is crying and his eyes are begging me to save him but I can't. Im totally freaking out and I wake up.
I dont know why im dreaming it and its horribleSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £2470.95/£1000 (19) £0/£10000 -
Is there something on your mind? Something worrying that you don't seem to think is that much of a worry during waking hours but you may be worrying about subconciously?
I get night terrors when there's something on my mind, once I address the problem they seem to subside, perhaps my mind's way of telling me to get my head out of the sand
I think sometimes with recurring dreams/nightmares it becomes a vicious circle, you go to bed worrying about having the dream so you have it because you're worrying about it, sometimes you need to break the cycle by doing something that you'll really enjoy.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Awww OP - hugs!
I suffer from vivid nightmares too, though they are due to my meds and usually focus on what I have been worrying about during the day.
I know how awful, and sometimes debilitating nightmares can be - I too would make the GP your first port of call
xI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Its just your mind trying to make sense of your (normal) fears about looking after your son
I would try and think about it and in my head kill the pyscho - go on, do it now!
Kill him and tell yourself that its just your mind playing stupid tricks, thats all

So definitley a nightmare rather than terror.
Have you been to the library to see if they have a dream interpretation book? Just doing something like that may break the cycle.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Over the holidays I kept dreaming of losing DD2, It was horrible feeling. What it meant? Well It was because I was fearing of losing her, losing her to "grown up world" she started school full time now, and is no longer my shadow, and it terrifies me she is growing up.
Your dream meaning means similar to mine, although little more in depth, something is bothering you about your children being hurt some how, ask yourself...0
