  • Hi AH good to see you back :) at least you have a plan to pay back the debt rather than leaving it so it's under control...I'm just glad my credit is shot to pieces and i have no credit cards because no doubt by now i would have caved and used them :eek: !

    Hope you get all your bits done on your days off

  • lol it was tempting to get in more debt, would have made things easier, but even the bits we did do were done with ALOT more thinking/planning than normal, we are determined to get things down even though they are manageable now I don't want things to be manageable I want my hard earned money to be mine, which means I need to get rid of my none hard earned dosh. :rotfl:

    Things will start looking better after christmas, one DD's birthday down, one in a few days, and one after Christmas then DS isn't till June so we should have a good few months to tackle things.

  • Thank you. I'm here just working lots at the moment, only finished at 9 tonight, and back in tomorrow. I need to move my rear and get the last couple of presents wrapped and some washing done.

    Good news today though, just over £650 is due back to us from PPI on an old loan...how long it will take for the cheque is a different matter. LOL

    Have a great christmas yourself. :D :T

  • Well today has been a good day really, I've been at work which was tedious but while I was there hubby has taken down all the decorations and put them away, also cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. :D The kids rooms are looking a lot cleaner too.

    Youngest 2 are back in school tomorrow and I have the day off, so will do final pottering and some more washing then. Surveys have slowed right down this last week with all the bank holidays, but hopefully they'll be back up and running more this next week as I want more vouchers.

    My plan is to save as many Amazon vouchers as I can towards christmas next year, but I need to get through the next 2 weeks first as I don't get paid til a week on friday, all bills are paid so far but not a lot is left in the pot to keep us going. We'll make it though, we always do. :D Then the serious debt busting can start. Hubby is fully on board to clear as much as we can this year. I'm going to restart eBay this coming week too with a few bits I have and more to come when I get around to blitzing the kids rooms.

  • right I need a list today.....January is a tough month, with Car Tax & MOT due (MOT is paid for as long as nothing wrong, Tax - not that organised yet) also my youngest DD turns 8 so we have a birthday too. There is about £190 in the bank to last till a week on friday with not a lot of food in the house, I think I need to do a budget shop and get some stuff sold. If we get the PPI cheque things will look better but we'd rather not in a weird way as that is earmarked for paying off the CC and hopefully most of the Buy now pay later we did, so we're in a good place to start the new year tackling debt that can't go back up again.

    * Just decided - nipping town so DD's can pay money into their bank, and I can take old DVD's/CD's to CEX (it all helps)
    * List/organise stuff for eBay
    * Washing - Load 2 in
    * General pottering around the house.
    * Find form on here for claiming back uniform washing expenses for OH
