We had a torrential downpour while I was out briefly last night too

I went to bed with a fleece top over my nightshirt and PJ bottoms but must have got hot in the night as I work up with just the nightshirt on. We seem to have a problem with our hot water / central heating controller... I've checked the times its set for but it keeps staying on hours past the time its set for which is highly irritating. I need to get OH to look at it as he's not taking me seriously - but we could be set for a big bill just cos the stupid program box isn't working properly!

Well done on making progress of the debt. Shame about the money for the tickets though. Hate it when that happens.

Thanks for stopping by :) Yeah the rest of the ticket money hasn't appeared yet. But will - she can't go if she doesn't pay.

I feel bad when I put things like that on the CC as I want to get the total to 0 but we have just started this tackling debt thing and I think that she wouldn't have been able to go if I hadn't started and got the CC below the limit. Plus we'd have been buying her birthday present anyway, just did it a little earlier.

We're still better off than we were a few months ago, the CC isn't maxed out and money is still coming in from other areas to pay it off so all isn't dire.

big bills aren't good either way. Ours has just gone up again but it's electric we over use. Need to get the kids unplugged i think - teenagers.

  • Done all my jobs apart from eBay - hubby forgot the bags. oops. Will do them tomorrow night, I'm in work tomorrow but own clothes day as I'm doing audits. Then off again thursday....house should still be clean so will be Harvest Festival, Asda and a spot of pottering I think. Need to see if I can find anything else for eBay as I'm greedy and want to make more money. :D

  • well done on all the ebay sales :) i seem to have hit a brick wall with my sales and am lucky if i make a tenner from 20 things lol!

  • I'm slowing down on eBay now....not even sure what's next, also a lot of my last batch is from my MIL's house - she's helping me by getting me to help her. I spend a day decluttering her house for her and then a day listing it making money for me. :D

As for today - yes it was a lot but I needed to cram it in today while I was off as I want to have a bit of free time on Thursday when I'm next off. (that's the plan though have asda and an assembly too), overpayments are trickling in, it's early days and there is a lot more debt to tackle, but baby steps is the key. Anything that is 'over' i.e. trading in my phone, or eBay selling goes on debt not swallowed into daily living then I feel like it's making a difference. (Plus i need to 'payback' what I spend on it over the past month - Concert tickets and converse for my eldest two.)

Woohoo is driving me crackers. I'm only on 16 gold stars, but I've told myself that with all surveys etc I'll keep going till i get a payout and when I do I'll think back - was that worth it? If the answers no then I'll ditch it. I've got a feeling woohoo will be ditched. Toluna isn't as bad as I thought, but that's because i'm near a payout. Valued Ops is tedious and slow as is One Poll but at least with One poll it's mounting up. VO seems to be your not suitable all the time. The couple of others I've just started need time to settle in before I start cursing them. :rotfl:

Hi Aiming High - it is only worth it doing woohoo if you watch a lot of tv, have a laptop and can press max regularly.... It's taken me about 4 months to reach payout... In the past you only needed 200 gold stars and from time to time I got 150 gold stars in one go so I had a few payouts quickly.... If its not working for you don't do it - Try something else.... I can't be bothered to do ebay so it is one of the things I can / will do
