NUS rip off - Student does NOT equal under 26

  • My uni gives the opportunity for lifetime membership of student union and therefore eligibility to buy the NUS card. With having a family I have saved loads - specifically Matalan (Prom season last year) and Superdrug. also use it for Amazon. It also acts as an ID card for student discounts in other places where the NUS card is not a necessity. (Example was this summer we did a tour of Wembley stadium - hubby is a pensioner and me classed as a student so it cost us 2 for 1. :-) ).

Does the NUS card get you a discount at Dell? Their website says yes but the link is broken so I am not sure.
The Dell SCI discount is not affiliated with NUS. It's a discount available to anyone in further or higher education
  • The first thing about a NUS card is that not all shops like to admit they give discount for it! Plenty of times Ive asked at the counter and they say yes. This happened twice last week... at DW sports and the Croc shop..

The ICIS part for international discount is about awkward if youre over 26 which I am. No where in Italy do they accept it (Ive been to Rome, Milan, Pisa and Florence) and very dissappointed.

This year in France however every attraction accepted it regardless of age with the exception of Mont St.Michel.

I use it at Amazon, Superdrug and it knows £14 per month of my DW gym membership! I am very pro NUS card!
