I have just been contacted by these scum (for the 3rd time), this afternoon. They have information on the results from a hearing test my wife undertook in 2012. They sounded very plausible, they knew where and when it took place, and that her hearing loss at that time (despite several years working in a high noise environment) did not meet the then government criteria for industrial deafness compensation. The guy who called informed me that the criteria had subsequently been revised and she now qualified for compensation of at least £3000. Tempting!!!
They are expecting to meet us at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool tomorrow to "sign us up" to quote his words. Hope he does not hold his breath as he will be waiting a long time!!!
Thank you all you dedicated "moneysavers" for the advice given in this blog. These people are lower than pond-life and you can't get any help from the police until an actual crime has been committed by which time it is far too late!!

I just had a call from / on behalf of the National Workers Association.. (another change of id?) same thing, asking if I had ever claimed for hearing loss etc. The caller (strong northeast accent) addressed me by name, then when I said I had not, she asked me "what about N*** (my late husband) I then told her he had been dead 12 years so I thought they should update their data bank and take my name off it!! What is unnerving is how these people access personal details,, and how much more they know.. or think they do!!

Had a few calls so decided to get the details of the call 10:26 18 Aug 2014.

Woman claimed to be from "Industrial Workers Office", As I played along I spoke to John of "National Hearing Clinic" from "Manchester".

Did 1471 and the number is 0161 814 0016

[FONT=&quot]Just had two calls from “The Hearing Clinic” - 01332 485016 - the second within minutes of telling the bloke to Foxtrot Oscar! He asked if I had worked in a noisy environment so I said I had a “ringing in my ears” and it was worse some days than others. Had the bloke’s attention then so he asked what might have been the cause – :doh:! Nuisance calls says I! I called the other number on an internet thread - [/FONT][FONT=&quot]01332 340425 -[/FONT][FONT=&quot] and spoke to a woman supposedly from said Clinic - they are compensation chasers not a clinic - and she said she would "go to the call centre and tell them not to call me". I asked her for the address of her company and she was unable to give me the postcode but I found it anyway: Hearing Clinic, The Old Courtyard Building, 18-22 St Peter's Street, Derby DE1 1NN, so anyone wishing to report them now has their details. Of course when they call up it would be quite funny to just keep saying "Eh?"!! LOL :rotfl:

They're still at it. Just had a call from a girl from Industrial Workers office.
"Our records show you suffered hearing damage when you worked in the industry"
Me "Hold on, where did you get my number?"
"Don't you want to find out how we can help?"
"No, I want to know how you got my number"
"From when you work in the industry"
"what industry?"
"The industry you worked in"
"I did 6 months on a building site when I left school, then a short time in a warehouse, I've been driving ever since then"
"It'll be when you worked on a building site"
"That was 1970, we didn't have mobile phones then!!
I don't give out my mobile number to anyone, whoever supplied it to you did so without my authority, which is against the data protection act. Please delete my details from your system"

Had my call today from 02035190205 male with northern accent. he said was from Industrial Workers Office - I said "never heard of you" - He hung up!


Interesting thing was he asked for me by name, which never happens as the phone is in my wife's name [different surnames], I am not on the edited electoral role either. I have never worked in industry either, but I did register on government job search and searched for warehouse work - its all I can think of.

These are now called the national advice clinic there in bury a group of people who are given intensions every day up to 100 pound a day there scammers do not use them they have just changed there name from industrial hearing clinic to national advice clinic the director is zed Husain and the contact number is 0161 763 2652 they also have a call centre in burnly they say your attending a clinic when infact it's a hotel to claim compensation they was known at central compensation group but because of the lies they told people they had to change tree name do not attend this they also charge for the service there at hamlet on house warth road bury and warth business to they have 2 call centers

have received a call from 0207 3519 0227 made by a female who said she was calling from the Industrial workers office. I observed that I had never heard of such an office, who were they and were they a registered company whereupon she hung up.
have blocked calls from this number.
they have obviously never heard of the telephone preference service with whom my number is registered either!

I have had 3 calls from this company in the last 90 minutes (make that 4!) on the third occasion I asked for their phone number and got the response 2-1-2-1 do one!

This company needs to be prosecuted for harassment, I am big enough and ugly enough to look after myself but if some poor vulnerable old person thought they were going to come into some money it could be very distressing when their account is fleeced
