  • I have a 4-hour exam tomorrow... From which I have to get 36.6 marks to pass the module :P

I SO CAN'T WAIT TIL IT'S ALL OVER WITH TOMORROW!!

... Also, I've noticed something that seems too amazingly coincidental to be... a coincidence :P We use Blackboard (online thingie where we can access all the lecture notes, presentations, etc), and listed are all the topics covered in each of my modules.

There seems to be some kind of colour coordination going on. For example, I did an exam yesterday, and when I look at the colour of certain topics, I notice that they are the ones that were on the exam! If only I had realised in time, I might have done better yesterday (though I guessed the topic correctly, I did revise other things... And mayhave got more marks if I'd relied entirely on my instinct).

The same applies to my other modules... Like the one that I have my exam for tomorrow; however, I'm too scared to just revise the colour coded bits in case I am wrong, or they've done it to trick us!

Hi, that's neat tht you have some sort of guide as to what's coming up. We have it similar, and the lecturers will tell us to ignore topics for example, that were covered last year but not this.

Anyway, I've had two exams so far, this Monday and today, another two to go, next Monday and Tuesday then off until the 29th when it's back full time. Got a bit panicked today, they suddenly started doing spot checks on random students. Turns out, from what someone told me, that someone cheated by having the exam notes on their laptop whilst doing the exam, so they could basically copy/paste and move it around a bit, but they essentially did the exam off the lecture slides. Not sure of the validity of this, but there seemed to be guards or something outside the room I was doing the exam in, they had radios and everything which I could hear through the door.

I share your sentiment, roll on 6pm next tuesday!
Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.

That's the thing... I don't know whether it is a guide or not, as some of the colour coded things are topics that we didn't learn much about. Usually I'm quite good at guessing, but I wouldn't have expected the coloured ones to be on (the title of the lecture notes are purple, as opposed to black)! But that being said, there are four purple ones... And there are four questions to choose from.

As for cheating -- I wouldn't have the nerve to do that! Granted I revise outside of the exam room because I am the worst procrastinator; however, the notes stay firmly in my bag whilst I'm doing the exam :p
  • Last exam tomorrow afternoon! But what I doing? Messing around on the internet waiting for desperate housewives to start at 11!

  • ^^ Haha, me too! I think the reason I'm procrastinating RIGHT NOW is a) because I have until 2pm tomorrow (so...5-hours if I get up early enough), and b) I know enough to 'just pass'. Le sigh.
  • Mines at 2pm too but only until four thankfully. I think I shall go to the library tomorrow after I get up until the exam and learn some stuff. Good luck for tomrrow!

All this talk of procrastinating... I always think things are much worse than they really are. For example, I had my last exam today which I was convinced was going to be awful, as I hadn't done all the prescribed reading. I am sooo glad I went though - today at least, I have found it to be true that you know more than you think you do!

Good luck to you all with your exams... and... how about we try and do better next term?

    Possible???

Or will we be writing the same comments on here come May, just slightly re-phrased?!

    :rotfl:
