I put in a claim for 2 loans with Lloyds (same form). Just received an uphold letter but it only states one loan reference number and Ive not received a reject letter about the other loan.
Do you think they may have forgotten to put it on or should I ring to chase
Michelle
Hi Michelle
They can use the same ref number for a few loan ppi reclaiming, but there should also be details of the account numbers of the loans as well, so what I would do is just contact them and make sure.
Its possible its on its way.
Well done.
How long ago did you put this complaint in?The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Di
I put this complaint in via email on 9 June and the letter I received back was dated 30 August.
Ive contacted them but the person I spoke to didnt even check just said there has been an error with the letters and it will be for both loans as they were under the same reference number. So heres hoping.

Girlfriend has the same issue except with 3 loans, she's rung them about four times and been passed to about ten different people. Not one of them has been able to confirm if the single letter encompasses all three or just one (the number on the letter is for the smallest amount too heh, strange that). Seriously they are useless, the closest answer we have had is "it looks like it is all three". Someone was meant to ring her back about three weeks ago, suffice to say they didn't. Now it's been escalated by a call agent - who stated the people he's escalating the issue to hardly ever bother to respond.. :mad:0

Fingers crossed to your girlfriend as well.
Keep emailing them as well. Good luck.

hi all,i`ve received a letter today from lloyds saying that my claim has been succesful...however as it was passed to the debt recovery dept, they would offset the payment to repay what i owe. They have said that if i do not wish them to do this i should tik the box saying so...obviously i have done this....anyone else had this situation?
Also the reply was for only one loan....i have sent a separate letter asking whats happening with the other ones.....so....0 -
First & foremost i would like to say a big thankyou to martin also di niggley amersall&co,hi michelle our dates on this are identical i also got a upheld letter with only one loan number on [i have seven]+cc.iam of the impression that the letter related to this one loan but with banks they seem to go around the houses.iam expecting further letters regarding the other loans,i hope iam wrong like but iam very cynical about banks....P.S congrats to all other success's compliant ants...:Tmichelle45 wrote: »Hi

hey hey
Firstly congrats guys for the success and I too am basking in the golden nimbus of a successful claim.
Michelle. Were your loans linked ? My claim was for a £10k loan but as this was "refinanced" it appears that LLoyds are treating it as 2 separate loans.
What actually happened was during the initial trend for PPI claims I simply phoned LLoyds and asked them to discontinue the PPI portion of the loan. They obliged without any issue however; it appears that what actually happened was that they took out a second loan which repaid the first and was ergo; for the remaining balance of the initial loan minus the PPI.
My offer letter states that they will consider both loans yet I had never even handed the details of the second loan to LLoyds. My offer letter also only states the initial loan account number; which I provided them.
Dave my letter also states that any payments made to outstanding arrears are optional. I have no arrears and never once missed a payment so I would assume that the letter is pretty generic. Mine also states that my payments are still ongoing and I would get a reduction in my payments due to adjustments of the PPI. This also leads me to suspect the letter is generic, or at least a cut and paste job, because the "second" loan contains no PPI whatsoever.
My letter also arrived today and is dated 30th August.
I cannot, under any circumstances, fault LLoyds with how my claim has been handled. The whole process has been smooth, quick, and painless.
The calculations for the value of the claim are yet to arrive and the offer is slightly confusing as the offer letter is littered with banking technobabble but I'm still a very happy bunny.
If anyone is interested LLoyds have offered a " full refund (including interest) + 'simple interest' of 8% "0 -
mikaldrey....thanks for the reply....fingers crosed0

I was chasing up a reply on a ppi claim on a credit card, when customer services said that I h ad 2 loans from 2003 with ppi and did I want to make a claim, if I did I could reply via email with the two loan reference numbers.
I did and the 2 loans were put under one claim number - but as I said earlier the upheld letter was stating the claim number and only one loan account number. Not received a reject letter for the second loan and both loans were taken out within 6 months of each other and circumstances hadnt changed so I should they think would uphold both. but knowing Lloyds they could see things differently than us.0
