Don't want to be scaremongering - but most of us sweeps are flat out at this time of year - is there a reason this guy can fit you in straight away I wonder?! If he turns up in his family car with the wife's Henry and a B&Q "my first chimney sweep set" - maybe your money would have been better spent elsewhere!

I will let you know what happens - I rang him this morning (after cancelling the first sweep) and he is ringing me back at tea time to arrange a date so maybe he is busy, I hope he is reputable as he had an advertisment on the yell page along with all the other chimney sweep services

well as promised I would let you know how I got on with my chimney sweeper,

he was genuine and the earliest he could do it was this morning, (Only 5 days)

he was an hour late as he had been busy, but at least it is done now. No mess left at all apart from a few footmarks near to the door ( it has been raining though) I am so glad i looked elsewhere as the first one would have cost me alot more and I wouldn't have been charmed by a jolly scouser who made me laugh with his scouse witt
