Interesting, so with a log or two in you could drag out a bag for a week's use?0

quite easily... we doYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

I use a medium sized basket of logs night and top it up with some wood I chopped. Probably about 15 logs a night from late afternoon to midnight. I usd log burner last night and burnt a couple of paper logs I made quite surprised how long they last around 1 hour, I was sceptical they last long time I thought they burn quite quickly0

nice one, what say for comparison is the standard output in kw terms of a single or double panelled radiator at full heat?0

I might invest in a log paper maker but I think it would be too much effort and messy just to get a couple of logs from them.0

My log burner kicks out far more heat that a radiator does. I have a double radiator over side of room where log burner is its around 8 foot away its rarely on when ch is on and log burner is on. If I dont have burner on and radiator is on full pelt Its not overly hot in the room, but with log burner on is around 24c and thts will all doors open in room and kicthen its a kitchen/diner and diner has double doors onto living room0

The messy bit is getting rid of excess water/paper waste. I do around 20 a time. I dont mind doing it but water/paper waste runs off onto concrete so I have to swill it down
I use a large gardening type bucket thing you can buy, it takes around 3 normal sized buckets of water and loads of paper. I dont get papers so have to ask next door and MIL brings some roundhighrisklowreturn wrote: »I might invest in a log paper maker but I think it would be too much effort and messy just to get a couple of logs from them.0 -
Then what do you do, stick it all, bit by bit, into the compressor and hold it down for a bit? How long does it take to dry off? Thanks for the tip btw.0

We make those as well - usually in the winter months as theres little to do around the garden
Usually dry enough to store indoors come easter and we have free burning the following winter ( hell of a lot of ash though)0 -

You people make this out like it's some exclusive club.
Well,YOU said you had no storage - Why bother to ask advice if you dont want to hear the answers from experienced people? Several people have told you the seasoning periods and you say we are all talking "crap". Hmm, 30 years in the trade and yet you know better than us or mucky butt.
I darent even ask if the chimney will be lined or a chimney sweep called in at least twice a season.
I wish you luck.0
