I slightly prefer Grace aswell; I would probably name a little girl Grace then nickname her Gracie instead. I might worry she wouldn't be taken very seriously in the workforce as a 40 year old Gracie.

As for the other name Eve/Evie is cute, I also like Amelia, Olivia is lovely, you could have something like Patience or Hope (Patience and Grace) though some people might find that silly.

Gracie is lovely an I think an equally tradtional/ 'old fashioned' (mean that in a nice way) name like Lily, Maisy, Esme, Eliza, Agnes (love Aggie)
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Gracie was going to be my son's name if he was a girl. I have an Amelie which was really unusual when she was born and people quite often start out by calling her Emily or Amelia but if I were to have another I like Elodie, Leonie and Elvie. I like "ie" names, lol.

You like French sounding names by the look of it ;)

I like Sophia and Olivia and Rose.

I agree to use the name Grace and call her Gracie. It gives her a choice as she grows up. And looking at my dd's friends fb pages, give them a second name too - teenagers round here seem to love that!

  • DD2 is Grace.

DS was to be Amelia, Claudia or Eve had he been a girl.

Totally agree. Gracie is very cutesy as a baby/toddler but not as someone searching for work! How about Milly, Lucy, Rose, Cassie, Eliza, Beth, Olivia, Amy, Erin, Jessica, Georgia, Emily, Evie etc etc

  • I agree that an adult Gracie may not be taken seriously and Grace with the nickname Gracie is better. Have you considered Lilly? Lilly and Grace both have 5 letters and go together well I think. Olivia and Grace is also nice.
  • I think Grace and Olivia are very popular these days, I think every few girls I hear of being born are given either or both of those names.

I agree with Grace and calling her Gracie so she can pick what she prefers when she's older. If you do go with Gracie I'd stay away from other 'ie' sounding names. Can you imagine a Gracie & Macie? Being a twin as it is people may always assume they are similar and be comparing them, I'd make sure they had completely different names to help establish their own different identities.

Gracie is a lovely name, Brodie, Rosie, Josie, Esme, Maisie, Ellie, Daisy, Mollie, Lilly, Tilly if you like kinda matching names.

I loved Georgie/Georgia, Mia, Allegra, Mae, Ruby, Summer, Lillian, theres some twins at my sons playgroup called Catherine and Elizabeth, Kitty and Lizzy for short, so cute!!

From personal experience - I wouldn't go for another G-starting name. My brother's got the same initial as I have and when stuff came addressed to J.Bloggs in the post it was always a source of confusion and lots of the wrong letters got opened.
