Im ok and thankyou for asking. Just usual family rubbish really. DD really low and moody and has changed her mind yet again about her plans. She is playing the woe is me card at the moment and it is very trying  DS2 couldnt get himself out of bed on time to go to school and didnt feed his piggies this morning:eek::eek: DS3 wont take out his ear-ring as they are now enforcing very strict rules about school uniform. Im miffed because the school criticise very quickly bit dont ever send praise when the kid turns up well turned out which DS3 always is. He has a stubborn streak in him so going to have to use all my powers of persuasion :eek::eek:

My bubble has burst but I am pleased to see my doggies again and they were pleased to see me too :T:T:T
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Blowing a hooley here, but was nice to come home to slow cooker bubbling away :D

Got up a bit earlier today and shoved chopped veg and a lump of brisket in the SC and its smelling lush, so an extra 5 minutes to put my feet up and see what you,ve all been upto :T

DS2 off to new school tomorrow so I am sure all hell will break loose in the morning, because no matter how organised I think I am, there is always something forgotton, or doesn,t fit or just isn,t 'cool' to wear - I intend to rise above it and smile sereenly as I cajole him out the door :rotfl:

    :) Afternoon all,

Had a very OS day today...I need all sorts of odd bits and bobs so rather than head straight for the shopping centre I did a trawl round the local charity shops and ££ shops to see what I could knock off my list. I managed about 50% of it but also got an extra couple of bargains...a brand new Canterbury hoodie for DS (it's his birthday tomorrow so I'll wrap it as an extra present ) for £1.50, and a Per Una cardi for me for £1. Also managed to get two school sweatshirts for DD in the correct colour for next year, when it changes. Crossing my fingers she'l not put on a double growth spurt before then but it's a chance worth taking for 99p each, no?

Then I came back to find the wind had brought the first of the apples down so I've got a trug full of them in the kitchen now, waiting for me to make them into something. I also bought two huge bags of cooking apples last night in the whoopsies section for 20p a bag, so I'd better get peeling.

They had packs of dried Shitake mushrooms in B&M for 79p for 4 packs btw. I feel mushroom risotto coming on tomorrow. Tonight it's mince and tatties...mince out the freezer, tatties are the slightly damaged ones I kept aside when digging them up so I can use them first. And I'll do simple stewed apple and custard for pud.
    Val.
