Morning everyone,
What a wild and windy night it was last night!
DD2 starts secondary school this morning and she has gone off all excited in her new uniform, which is obviously much too big! DS and DD1 are already at the school so I don't think she was too nervous.
Another INSET day at my school, I nearly fell asleep in the final meeting yesterday, I will be glad when the children get in tomorrow.
Tonight is quite busy as DS has rugby training and DD1 has ballet and then I am going back to my ballet class after the 6 week summer break. I will be a bit stiff tomorrow morning!
Tea tonight is sausages in HM barbecue sauce.
Hugs to all that need them.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

Morning :hello:
Miss me? Thought not :rotfl:
I'm feeling old today, my cousin's son and girlfriend have just had a baby. My kids are older than her son, I've just realised I'm old enough to be a granny  :rotfl:
Mr tru is allowed to drive :j even though his arm is in plaster. I don't know why they call it plaster, it's fibreglass. It's loosened a lot (or his arm has shrunk, lol) so he's having a new one put on today.
We've got a temporary water butt. We put some guttering up on the shelter near the back door, and a pipe down into a large bucket. Actually that's how mr tru broke his wrist, it's only 7' high so he used a chair instead of a ladder, then fell off. We've got an old large cider barrel, when I've bought a tap it'll be replacing the bucket. The roof is approx. 4m x 2.5m, I'm amazed by how much water comes off it. Our guttering on the house is old, leaky and falling off so when that's replaced, we'll get another barrel. Then I can get some money off our water bill
We've got lots of ripe tomatoes (at last) so I'll be making soup and pasta sauce for the freezer.
It's windy and raining here so I won't be gardening. I have a bit of painting to do and some coat hooks to put up. In my stash of material, there's some beige cotton curtains. I'm going to make a wrap-around skirt and dye it black.Bulletproof0 -
Morning!!!
Well, chased up about my new job yesterday and it looks like I'm on track to start next week (phew - my sick leave ends this week, so will be without even ssp - at least I should get one week's worth of money in the Oct pay packet) going back to my other job on thursday night after 8 weeks, still not got full mobility in my arm back but near enough
It is thoroughly grim weather here today - soggy school run!! So not going to get ds out today I don't think. Lazy art and craft and telly day together I reckon. Hubby going to the gym this evening so will cook a nice stew for he and I to have when he gets back (kids will have fishfingers and veg earlier on in the eve) the stew does 4 child's portions as well as a hearty dinner for us so will be freezing half of it. Might make some scones for dds lunchbox today as well, if I can get my bottom in gear!!
Have a lovely day all xxxSeptember GC £341/£3000 -

Yesterday was as expected, total chaos, lol.
The kids are back today so today will be total noisy chaos.
I'm just keeping my head down & ploughing through the piles of work in my inbox & intray, trying to prioritise & try to ignore the wailing & gnashing of teeth from the staff who can't have everything yesterday. 2 examples being, 700 A4 booklets, doublesided, double stapled with coloured covers, emailed to me at 8am yesterday & required by lunchtime today. 200 copies of a 80 page document, doublesided, double stapled & holepunched, given to me at midday & required by 3:30. These 2 jobs alone mean the machines cannot be used for anything else & I only have 2 machines.
Hmmmm that reminds me of the days I spent working the print room at my first job (Solicitors offices). Everything was urgent, required ASAP and the reality was it very rarely was that important. How I hated having to copy VERY old documents, copy size A0 plans  using A4 paper and having to stick them together with scotch tape and colour said plans in.......happy days :rotfl:
Wet and blowing a hoolie here which I actually likeSooner it gets all the ruddy oak leaves off the tree the better
Plans today are some more cooking, going out for lunch with my mum so my aim of 5th NSD on the trot will not happenMind you I dunno why I am attempting to not spend when H seems to be picking up the slack <rollseyes>
DS actually went off to school really well :T Was expecting a load of stress but when it came down to it he did fineWill have to see how he fares tomorrow and the rest of the week......
Not sure what I am doing for tea yet.
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.
I've not read yesterdays thread but from the looks of it some hugs/good vibes requires for LW, nmlc xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning All
Wild, wet and windy here today, so I am going to finish my little hats this morning and get DD to post them for me.
Chicken casserole for dinner tonight and I am making 2 so that I can freeze one and I think that I will do a shepherds pie as well - getting ready for winter now and if I fill the oven it saves on the extornionate cost of leccy
LameWolf I hope all goes well today x
Well I am off to get started
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
