There's absolute proof gnasher. 5 items? I didn't realise you had done such an in depth survey. 80 million peices of post per working day, and you had five not dealt with properly.
London is notorious for not collecting a signature. The rest of the country has a 97% success rate. You can claim your 77p back you knoe, if you haven't had the service you paid for.
I have a local business of solictors, the legal kind, who sent 30 recorded letters a day. Must be mugs eh?
    And 500 feedback? Phew.............................
Think you can take your tongue out of your cheek now mate - it's a dirty habit and you know it.

You can't get the hand-written ones any more - the PO have discontinued them (although there may still be a few books knocking around as this was only a couple of months ago). They now have to do each one individually for stamped items, which is a right pain if like me you send a lot of <100g large letter or letter sized items. (Fortunately my postmistress does them for me after I've gone and I pick them up when I go in again the next day).

    .

Strapped, if you have any sort of business acccount with Royal Mail they will send you as many pads of COPs as you want as they have not been discontinued.

I got a good run of orders a few weeks back, anyway went to local post office items were stamped but she checked weight etc which were all fine, I asked for proof of postage but she said she could not give me it on stamped things unless she done it, 4 of the parcels have not arrived!!!

I am furious with myself and feeling very suspicious about posting anything at our local office, myself and hubby have had at least 10 items in the last 2 months not get where they should have

I have changed all my listings to recorded, then to top it off, one item arrived broken but rather than buyer contact me they just left negative, feeling really fed up with it all at the moment, just when I thought things were looking up :(

What sort of things do you sell?

The arrogance of people who have been on here a while, and think their opininion is the only one that counts still astounds me...

I had 5 recorded items delivered last week, where a signature was not requested! This is a simple fact.

Argue as you want, but I can show you the stickers!

    .

I do not doubt for one moment that your recorded items do not get signatures, I do not recall the last time i signed for a recorded package nor do any I send ever get signed for.

However I do not see the link between what most regulars on here consider a very poor Royal Mail service and a scam?

It's just a poor service and if you send in a claim RM will refund you for each and every 77p paid where a signature was not obtained.

They weren't ageeing with you either - they can't remember the last time they signed for a recorded item smart a**e.

I must say that whilst I do not always agree with what macfly says I can at least follow his argument. I am still at a loss as to what point you are actually arguing as your posts are inconsistent.

It doesn't really help that you leave your posts up for such a short while then delete them which just makes the whole thing a mess. If you are unsure what you want to write, maybe stop for a while and have a think before you post- it makes the point you are trying to get across much clearer. So far on this thread you have deleted most of the posts you have made.

Oh, and do note that even if you delete posts they stay in the posts of people quoting you- an example being the one i just quoted. Is there a reason why you don't like your posts showing? Regardless of whether others share your point of view or not you are perfectly entitled to air your opinion, don't feel you have to remove your posts just because not every one agrees with you. It would be a boring world if we all believed the same things.

Oh, OK - just another example of me being mislead by the local postmistress (which doesn't surprise me - she can't even manage a special delivery so I have to travel into town to do that - but she's very sweet in other ways so I overlook it!)

I don't think you are alone, many post offices are telling their customers these have been discontinued. What they actually mean is they can't or won't get any.

It's can't. The bulk list is more convenent in a lot of ways for more than three items. It's a bit like the paypal one with all items on it.
