What facts don't you know? Seen on Rightmove, set up a view, had a second view....you know the rest. Don't try to argue they perform some grand magic to get it onto Rightmove etc per-lease!
Look at it whichever way you wish but here's a hypothesis....."That family never got back then luv after the second view..." " No dear, they must have changed their minds" "Yes luv, oh well. I'm sure the agent is doing their best..." PMSL!0 -

and two - by jove you seem to be beginning to get my OP point.......poor vendors (get it yet?)
As a buyer I wouldn't expect you to know what the EA has been doing apart from their contact with you. If you're saying they've outlined to you exactly what work they've done for the seller, then fair enough - but we can only comment on what you tell us, not on the 'numerous conversations' you may have had with them.
If the sellers want to pay the EA their fee, that's up to them, not to you, surely?0 -
moneybunny123 - you aren't going mad. It is VERY poor service and I can totally see why you're so incensed at this. I have no idea why these jokers are trying to defend the indefensible. Just ignore them, they clearly just want to wind you up for some reason.
Maybe they're ex-EAs...?0 -
Oh crumbs Googler, let's forget it my friend
We could go on all night and still not be on the same wavelength.

The Estate didn't contact you. I agree not professional. However, it does happen.
That said. Personally I would have chased up. As if its a property I wished to buy. As I wouldn't want another offer being made first.0 -

It has been helpful, good to off-load and reflect and smile. Everyone is entitled to their own view and way of seeing it. I am not incensed at all, EAs never disappoint to disappoint
I just feel bad for the vendors but *I* will put it right and contact them and the EA as some have suggested.

moneybunny123 wrote: »Oh I am fussed but it isn't the only one I had on my list of 4 - as I keep saying the point of my OP was how the EA, employed by the vendor, have really stitched them up by just not being any good at the thing they say they "do". So the house stays on the market for a while longer, tick tock. I am sure, if they knew, the vendors would be pleased. Just a frustrating element of life that is all and it bugs me.
But in the end you're not punishing the EA, you're punishing the vendor, when they probably think that everything's ok, and won't know it isn't until someone like yourself gets in contact with them.
I think i've been more annoyed these last few days with people who want to buy a house aren't taking things seriously. Some real immaturity around these days. OP if you want to penalise the EA then write a stern letter saying how disgusted you are with the service and advise the vendor, i'm assuming you've visited the property? Why not tell them direct?Everything I know, I've learned from Judge Judy.

Scully, some of that already in progress, cheers. I am not sure my jovial forum banter is a real representation of my dealings, certainly doesn't reflect immaturity - perhaps you read too much into these boards and the cyber banter? Get out some perhaps?
I know i need to lol

Good to hear. No it's not so much you as it is me, third time i've been selling my house, got messed around so much and just praying third time is a charm, it was simply from your tone of our OP that you seemed not to take things seriously on the home front.Everything I know, I've learned from Judge Judy.

One parting shot; I take it you wouldn't admit the possibility the agent was taken ill, had an accident, or had a family bereavement on Friday?
Any one of which would reasonably explain a lack of contact.0
