Has anyone used 4 x £1.25 (2 x Toiletries, 2 x Beauty Products) on Adidas Spray Deodrant and Mcleans Toothpaste

Reason for asking is that im using all the vouchers and mulitples of which currently gives me a profit of £6.32 which im using to buy alcohol !!!!!

The best profit maker for me so far is to use the below combination when buying 4 x Johnsons Bodywash but ive got way to many now and fancy overstocking on something else.. I've used 2 x £1.25 on Adidas Spray Deodrant and Mcleans Toothpaste before but havent yet tried 4.. yet !!!

    My ultimate combo

    4 x £1.25 from QK
    2 x £1.00 From H&B
    1 x £2.50 From H&B
    2 x £1.00 from Mr T's magazine

Total £11.50 giving a profit of £6.32 when buying (if you call it that) 4 x Johnson's

  • thought i had it today

picked the spotty boy... ....put my items on the belt ready to pay.. then the supervisor came over and said once you finish this lady..i will take over....

oh heck......i thought i'd been rumbled... and that this could be the taste of things to come...

and i could never use money off coupons again:eek:

i was in two minds to hand over any h&b vouchers... but i thought well i'll go for it....if the worst comes to the worst.. i will have to use the other tescos....

    but.......shock horror....... she took them all.....:D :D

and this was a supervisor.. which have told me umpteen times before about voucher use......lol.

just goes to show.... they change their voucher policy like3 they change their underwear.....

  • Grrrr I really wish Tesco would sort their coupon policy out, just bought around £12 worth of toiletries and the SA would only take 1 coupon, superviser comes over and agrees with her stating something about they could not take £100 pounds worth of coupons, I did politely explain we were not talking about £100 worth of coupons but just £7 and they were all store specific but they were having none of it.
Unfortunately I then told them not to bother - I don't want any of it and this is my local store!

Do you know that has happened to me a few times lately. The thing is I want to use the vouchers to get the points etc BUT I don't particularly want to pay alot for them so when this happens I am slightly peeved. I don't bother with my local store for exactly the same reason as they hate voucher users.

I don't know if paranoia is setting in but when I go to the checkouts I swear lots of them put their lights out and busy themselves ! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • i just got stopped at the till when a supervisor came over and said it's one voucher per transaction :o but she said the young lad who served me would have been in trouble with the 'cash office' - is this true? i wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble. really cross because i showed my sister how to do it and she got her healthcare for free and made a huge profit on her toiletries - just ten minutes before i went through the till  i used the £2 healthcare one so i suppose i only paid £2 for my healthcare purchase worth £8 and i wombled a till spit on the way in but even so ... gutted :rotfl:

I'm sooooooo jealous, I wish I was living back in Surrey surrounded by Tesco stores, New Malden and Purley were regular haunts of mine. It's all very nice living in the country, but I only have a choice of two Tescos, one about 8 miles away and the other 20 miles away!!!! Trying to get there with two little 'uns in tow, by bus, is impossible!!!!!

Roll on the weekend for some more H&B stocking up!!!!!! :j

just retuned from my first h&b venture and nearly ran into trouble.
total of toiletries before bogof was £24.42
total shop before vouchers was £47.51
    total after savings £34.64

    handed over pre-sorted vouchers - 2 x £2.50, 5 x £1.00 and 5 x 50 points
cashier said i'm only able to accept 1 of these, on every checkout there's memo about customers abusing these particular vouchers. played it dumb saying well i've bought plenty of shampoo & shower gel, anyway the supervisor came over & said if i'd spent over £40 on toiletries then i could use them. sa shrugged her shoulders & said oh yes she's spent about that & promtly put through all the vouchers knocking £10 off the bill & adding 250 points.

that's what i get for trying to be too clever, next time i'll only try one set.
I'm in the £2.00 club! terramundi cracked open Christmas Day £748 :p Started a new one Boxing Day!
  • I was trying to work out my shopping days and time left before the vouchers expire and originally planned to try and use as many vouchers in as little shops as possible. However, this isn't working as I am finding the SAs aren't very happy with the idea of scanning so many vouchers at once. I even split my shops into 2 with the same cashier. First transaction fine, 2nd transaction he called the supervisor over who wouldn't accept the majority of them.

I think the voucher net is closing - my plan is spend £10 buying a mixture of products on bogof, use one £2.50 voucher, 2 quit pack vouchers @ £1.25 each leaving nothing to pay - then maybe slipping them a few points vouchers after suddenly remembering they are in my purse. I really need to get some extra points and at the moment this is the best way to do it.

Uh oh, I don't like these kind of stories!! I wonder if that's what the cashier was reading on his screen the other day!?

Think I'll give it a miss! Will try on Wednesday, if it doesn't work out, I'll offer up my last lot.
