Just back from a successful trip.
When in queue the cashier got replaced - so I was a little nervous as the lady was an older cashier that was obviously full time. Done a couple of trips before but nothing big, so today thought I would bite the bullet after reading some of you more experienced voucher users tales.

I greeted her with a comedy quip to see if she was nice, which she was. Got all shopping through and then played the dumb husband. "sorry wife gave me a wedge of vouchers" not sure which ones I've used and which I haven't"

She just said she would try them all and give me back the ones that were no good.

Ended up with all used (17 coupons in total) except a beauty one from quit kit.

I was very red in the face though as I am not very good at blaggin ;)
However nearly 10 pounds of discounts and 350 extra points well worth it.

A 40 pound shop before BOGOF becomes 11 pounds ;)
And a couple of quit kits and H&B leaflets for next time
    Play up Pompey!

Well I've been using the health care vouchers for the childrens vitamins that are bogof the ones with omega 3, orange box. £3.34 each, so 4 X £3.34 less bogof = £6.68 take away £2 quit voucher and £1 health h&b voucher, so only £3.38 for 4 boxes of vitamins. I am sure others have better bargains but DD has been using these for ages so I'm happy to get them a lot cheaper than usual.:T
  • Not quite sure if it is correct or not but today I went shopping and this is what I bought and the vouchers that the lovely SA accepted at the till when they took the whole lot of vouchers:

    6 x toothbrushes @ £2.39 = £14.34
    2 x toothpaste @ £1.88 = £3.76
    2 x Imperial Leather @ £1.48 = £2.96 = £21.06

    BOGOF - £7.17, BOGOF (toothbrushes) - £1.48 (imperial leather) & - £0.76 for 2 for £3 (toothpaste)
    2 x 40p toothpaste, 2 x £2.50, 4 x £1.00, 4 x £1.25, 4 x £1.25
    & 10 x 50 points = £29.21 - £21.06 = £8.15

    Total Discount £8.15 + 500 points
    !!!!!! happens!!!:D

Couldn't you have also used the £2.50 off £10 on the H&B & 300 points extra too??? Making them just £0.88.

I didn't think he £2.50 worked on health items only toiletries?

Well it does say on the vouchers "£2.50 off £10.00 spend on ANY Health & Beauty item" so they should take them!

Maybe i'm just lucky in the fact that when the till bleeps they automatically just authorise them without checking to make sure that I have the item or that I have the right amount etc.

I hope it does work for you though as every penny helps and I should know!!! LOL!!! I NEVER have enough pennies to go around!!! LOL!
    !!!!!! happens!!!:D
  • am i missing something? can you use the £1.25 beauty vouchers together with all the others to get £20 off a £20 spend in total, so £10 credit if they are all bogofs?

Slightly OT - staying in Swindon tomorrow night - anyone know what Swindon Extra is like for taking coupons at the moment? And any stores in the area likely to have any H&B vouchers up for grabs? PMs welcome if you prefer!
