Tesco H&B vouchers

Hi just wanted to know if I could have done any better....

I bought
2 x tescos own Glucosamine + Chondroitin @ £7.99 each bogof
1 x paracetamol @ 16p to take me over £16

I handed in
2 x £2 off £8 spend (QK)
3 x £1 off £4 spend (HB)

The till refused a 4th £1 off from HB


I ended up paying £1.15 for over £16 of vitamins

I was delighted with this but was wondering why it refused my last voucher . Does the order that I hand the the vouchers in makes any difference.
I plan to do an identical shop a bit later in the week and wondered if I had the best combination.

I started taking these about 5 days ago and for anyone with stiff / painful joints they are doing a fab job for me.

Strangely enough I did this combo today too!! I used £2.50 and £1.00 from H&B, 2 x £1.25 beauty, 2 x £1.25 toiletry and 4 x 40p colgate all from quit.

Not seen the other one from the magazine so could perhaps have got another £1 off if I'd tried hard enough :rotfl:

you have used the maximum amount - try the tesco mag one as the fourth h/b voucher this may work as its a different format to the h/b voucher booklet ones. They are on a flyer loose inside the mag.

I picked up 4 mags in 2 different tescos and the H&B voucher was not in there

Had a great day shopping today.

got 3 r&s' but they would not give me one, so an e-mail has gone to hq

Got macleans whitening BOGOF £2.45 50% extra free
Simple bath stuff BOGOF £1.98
2* Hayfever antihistamine 99p


Managed to use £1.25 off toiletries from qiut pack
£1.25 off beauty products from quit pack

in essence I did not spend over £5, but with BOGOF it worked, or have the hayfever stuff knocked it over? could someone try? it would be brill if I could stock up on something that becomes an expensive essential in a few more weeks time.

Any new on time of the month stuff?

Plus other coupons bringing a £22 spend down to £12 so happy with that

Boots was even better due to the double promotion
Got 3 £5.50 body scrubs for 50p
botanics gift set reduced to £2.50 plus free moisturiser, with a chorus of "it will never work!"
Umberto Gianni shampoo +conditioner for 95p / 99p
plus 2 coke and a bag of crisps for a £7.50 spend 350 points back and another voucher to spend!

All in all a very good day, going back tomorrow to see if they have stocked up on body buffer, I am going to look fab with all these promotions!

I think that the till will only take as many of one type of voucher, as you have bought items - so if you had bought two packs of paracetamol, it might have taken the fourth voucher. Just my little theory - it seems to be the same for the points vouchers - max of 4 if 4 items and so on.

what do you think toiletries or health care vouchers ?

i sold my stash of bodyform that i had from the boots glitch last year

and i have so much bubble bath ...hand wash..... shampoo....shaving form..... toothbrushes....and toothpaste.......because of the other h&b leaflets... its hard to find places to hoard them...

i have a tall book shelf.. and its full.... its all displayed like a shop selves lol....

i will prob end up selling most of it in a boots sale....i have given loads away....

so i was just wondering about the monthlys.....

i was sick to the back teeth of the h&b isle las time the leaflets were out....

i just go through the isle in a daze.... because i dont need anything.....its just going through the motions.....lol...

its the points bal at the bottom of my till receipt that gets me excited......

thats why i thought i would try and find out about the monthlys......
