In recent years I've used XP Pro at work, and Vista, 7, and Mac Snow Leopard at home.

Snow Leopard slaughters the rest.

Vista is truly awful, 7 is acceptable, but still poor in comparison to Snow Leopard.

XP Pro does the job, but as it's a business application it's not strictly comparable to the others.

Agreed. My magic trackpad is however pretty neat and one of the few Apple gadgets I think is actually worth the money.

I like the Apple Magic Mouse, makes scroll wheel ones feel positively clunky.

On the downside, battery life is not brilliant (must get some rechargables), and the two AA cells means it's heavier than other mice.
