Try the Lexmark support link as with live chat they are usually reluctant to leave anything not working, plus if anyone has had the same thing they would know about it hopefully.
You only need to restore from the back up anything you will use regularly.
Just an opinion but if you only have one back up then you are as vulnerable to hardware failure as before, so if you have really important data or images, you could consider backing those up to discs and putting them away, just in case
I made a dvd disc of images but it took ages to load as there were so many of them, so I tend to back up images to CDR discs0 -
Hi santer, I,ve tried again twice today, from lexmark site you gave me, but it tells me drivers it downloaded with setup are not installing. Takes me so far through the set up, but drivers are obviously not installing. They are saved in download, and even tried windows downloading direct from Lexmark via browser, but something is stopping them going on. As you say, my disc says drivers installed ok, but they are not.wierd.Try the Lexmark support link as with live chat they are usually reluctant to leave anything not working, plus if anyone has had the same thing they would know about it hopefully.

I have done separate cd,s and stick with pictures on, but a few new ones are on my back up.
If I can just re-instal them back on pc, I can then put them on another cd and view from there.
No need for them hogging space is there.?
Any idea how I save login password, I,ve forgotten.??
Theres no box to tick to save it.
Only me and wife uses it, it, safe.
I,m just going back to lexmark site to try again:beer:0 -
Un-install the printer and then re-boot.
The Driver is here. Save it your your computer. When completely saved, 'right click' on it and choose 'Run as Administrator.0 -
Saving the password log in and not having one are probably the same thing
If you got to control panel then accounts you can remove the password, though consider how often you need to log in, if not many times a day then having a password stops the PC being switched on by anybody and them being able to use it
I would only load things back on from the back up that will be used0 -

Tried to use it. EROR soon as I click on any icon, start, etc to use, ERROR ,c:\program files\lexmarkx1100 series\lxbkjsrw.dll I,m doomed. obviously I can only use their downloads if it,s still under warrantee I would assume. It proves the printer works though. Cannot understand why my installation disc won,t do it.0 -
Downloading and installing their software should be alright in or out of warranty.
I would let their live chat technician have a look at it0 -
if it's working, forget about registration!!
> . !!!! ----> .0 -
It,s not working , that,s the trouble. I,m trying to re-instal after my re-instal. It will not do it. I tried without registering, same thing. error.same when I registered, error.Yet it took me through set up , printed test pages, but,now it won,t..The drivers must be ok to have done that. I think a new one may be only solution.if it's working, forget about registration0 -
Hi, been there, done that, nogo. Thanks anyway.Same site as santers given me.Un-install the printer and then re-boot.

Tried santer, to use the live chat you have to select a product.Downloading and installing their software should be alright in or out of warranty.

Unfortunatelly, x1100 series are not amongst them.x1200 series are.
They even sent an e-mail thanking me for registering this time.
The mind boggles.
Uninstalled it yet again, but have 4 saved download exe files on system I want off, they are the ones from lexmark.Right clicking does not give me choice to delete. Just open file or find location.
Any ideas? I,m just about stumped with the printer. It says drivers are installed ok, or did, before I uninstalled.:beer:0
