continuing on your theory, younger entries should be an anagram of a painting found in France somewhere!0 -
VERSE ONE should give you the name of four towns somewhere in the world. VERSE TWO should then give you the name of a famous painting, where on that painting you need to look to find the name of a townThe following clue has been posted but HELP!
Journey soixante et un to the South
and the east to unravel my yarn
From the Sanctuary Dale
to the costal Neon Barn
south to the Raping Pen and
west until you are more stung
Complete the square in which
my painting is hung
The younger entries 'Merry Peasants'
should be laid base down.
Between the Red Hat and the
Blue, there lays your town.
Where the Happy Men of
Duchy did once reside.
The primary greeting will
hand you your prize0 -
Unless Adrian Dawson asks us not to then no we shouldn't share the answers, but he has not said anything as to whether we can share answers or not, so for now I think it would be ok to share our answers with each other.
I love the fact that you guys (and gals) all help each other, even if it lowers your odds of winning. Besides, this is all speculation. Only by visiting the site and finding the hidden prize would you know if your emailed entry was actually correct. It could be way off the mark.
In other words... go for it. It's your site, not mine and I'd rather help than try to set rules in a forum I have no right to set rules for.
What I would say, however, is that I am very proud of Sequence and am, of course, promoting it. Anyone who even vaguely feels that this competition is worth spending a few quid on Sequence by way of helping me do my next competition, please do. Yes, you will probably find what you believe to be the answer here soon enough, and not need to buy my book, but any support is welcome.
I also understand that not everyone is cash rich and that's why they like to enter comps. I'm cool with you buying Sequence and I'm cool with you not. This is moneysavingexpert, after all! Perhaps good fortune this time around will result in someone buying my third book, or fourth, or tenth. All's fair, but help me launch my career if you can.
Anyone who wants to know what Sequence is 'about', feel free to download the FREE sample chapters from my website - https://www.adriandawson.co.uk, or read the latest review, posted not half an hour ago... http://www.milorambles.com/2011/09/05/sequence-by-adrian-dawson-book-review/ Like all reviews, this is completely independent (and there is one bad one out there!) and nothing to do with me.
That's why I like it so much.
As before, I love you guys. You'll get no answers from me, but you'll get help where I can, because your support for Codex was overwhelming.
Thanks to all and back into the shadows I creep.

Actually you might be onto something Younger Entries might turn out to be the painter, - Younger Teniers - David Teniers the Younger - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Teniers_the_Younger0 -
Yep, the artist is David Teniers the Younger. One of his paintings is called Peasants Merry Making before a country house. Between the red hat and blue looks like a church.
Looking at the four towns from the first verse they create a square. Within that square are a few towns.
Couiza - a Google of this and Duchy leads me to Rennes le Chateau. An interesting place with links to Da Vinci Code etc. Theres the church of Mary Magdalen. Possibly there?
Or Uzes - there's a cathedral. Is that what is at the back of the painting?
Going round in circles a bit but getting closer.
Anyone got any ideas?

This is the painting
and here is one slightly bigger...
The house has not been identified; a coat of arms which was once to the left of the entrance is no longer legible. The landscape is thought to have beeen painted by Lucas van Uden, but the figures are probably the work of David Teniers the Younger. They can be dated on grounds of style to about 1650, and the landscape was probably painted shortly before then. The two artists also collaborated on other occasions. - http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/lucas-van-uden-and-david-teniers-the-younger-peasants-merry-making-before-a-country-house0 -

I'm new to this comping site, but your competition is very exiting and intriguing. Its great that you actually participate on the site. You're very mysterious!!!0 -
I've changed my mind I think this is the painting, it is called Peasants Merry-making by DAVID THE YOUNGER TENIERS
You can clearly see both a red hat and a blue hat and a town between them in the background, but what is the name of the town and where was this painted???0 -
There is another painting - Peasants making music in an inn. Two men at at table on in red hat one in blue, Zoom in on book between them: Letters BASO, or BASQ cant make it out. Maybe a clue.0
