So the 31st August has come and gone still nothing and these cowboys are telling me that I need to speak to the FOS directly.
I have spoken to the FOS who are very friendly and they have advised that they gave Barclays 16weeks from the 8th July to settle which means they still have another 2 weeks left. This is so unacceptable because I have received so many letters from Barclays saying that they are going to settle before the 31/08/2011 and now they are refusing to accept responsiblity for all the wrong infomation I have been told and the promise letters sent out.
This has been going on since September 2010 may I also add i am so annoyed :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That is truly shocking, I hope you get it sorted soon.
Barclays 'lost' my acceptance forms even though they agreed they had received them on the 8th August.0 -
Have you tried to email their CEO? If you search this thread there have been email addresses posted. I think that allot of people have much more joy by doing this after having been messed about, and if seems as if they have well and truly messed you around. Its shocking.0

Yes I agree try the CEO, we still haven't got a letter but found out our offer by emailing to their CEO.0

Same as HFC my claim has been with HFC since April 2010 and FOS adjuicator since April 2011, contacted HFC and they stated only go through FOS. I contacted my adjuicator and she did not seem interested stated they had a lot of claims to look at, l asked her surely they are looking at oldest first. I did email CEO and l got a letter back stating same thing.
Dont know what to do either all take MICKEY.

As it stands, Barclays have broken no rules on the complaints process. So, whilst it may be frustrating for you, there is little point getting angry.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

What do you mean "as it stand they have not broken any rules"?
They made a promise and failed to meet it, I have received several letters from them with the proposed date of 31/08/2011. Then they have made up stories that even the FOS are confused as to why i was advised and they had to call Barclays on my behalf because what they had told me was a load of rubbish, so please do not tell me they have not broken any rules.0 -

They have not failed to meet the deadlines. Their service may have been poor and they havent met their proposed dates but as it stands they are still within the timescales allowed.
Hence, no point getting angry until the deadline has come along.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
