Never tried the edible glue but cellophane should be quite strong - or if you did one with little lollies ou would just have to poke the sticks in.
There's a nice malteser one online but thats done with cocktail sticks - and I agree - would rather not have them used where kids invloved.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Yeah I have done the malteaser one before on a polysterene cone and then used edible glue to put glitter on it - was gorgeous! Will have a play around on the weekend! Do you know if the flying saucer one is made with cocktail sticks as well? x0

Not bene able to find out about the flying saucer one - but I would think you could email one of the makers online to ask if they have cocktail sticks in them? Seems a legitimate question if you were buying for kids.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Hi, i tried making a malteser one this weekend but the glue didn't hold, do yo think this was because i was using cellophane? also should i use icing instead of glue, will this hold better? Thank you0

Not sure how good the food glue is - I meant the cellophane would be covering it when it was finished.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Just been googling and someone has used oasis instead of polysteirine - probably a lot cheaper?
Just wondering - which is the best to buy - the wet or dry one? One is more crumblier I think but can't recall which!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

Polystyrene would be better then oasis as its stronger oasis both wet and will crumble away a bitI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -
