I picked up some hair straighteners the other day, there were 3 on the shelf, all the same box/packaging. One scanned at £1.84 but the other 2 scanned at full price - the cheap one had a different bar code.

Do u have the barcode for the cheap straightners plz?
    thanks

The model number for the Technika 7" Twin Portable DVD Player which has been found at £24 end SS10. The ones ending AW11 have been scannning between £75 & £99. The latter price is store specific and to do with promotion rather than clearance.

I really wanted one of these for the car but there weren't any in my local stores. I did however, find the newer model (AW11) with an out of date SEL stating it was £79.97. As I needed it and had two different £10 off Morrisons voucher and a £5 off Tesco electricals voucher, I thought I'd just get it.

Of course I took my receipt to CS for double the difference (£40) and still had my £25 off making it £34.97 which I was happy with.

Check the SEL dates of items on promotion and make the most of newspaper vouchers; I always buy a couple of papers, sometimes 3 if they are as much as £10 off. If I don't use them all, I always offer them to someone else who is shopping so they don't go to waste.

    HTH :)

    Sorry, but you're wrong.

    AW10 is £24
    SS10 is £79
    SS11 is £99.

People should be looking for AW10.

Err make that two Garmins for a start. I found out that its possible to use it as a running gps so got one for me as well as hubby. I have had the Technika headphones, plus a cream four slice toaster that was actually marked up at £5 and was still on the shelf! I've had camping stuff and loads of other stuff from in the actual store including hanky sets for 1p!

The problem is, your store doesn't have a scanner which is really annoying when you need to scan loads!

I saw you the other day I think. You were helping out a member of your staff who was serving me and I was gonna say hi but chickened out :p

Do you not think AW10 is a later model than SS10? Given that aw is autumn winter and ss is spring summer. I would have thought the oldest model would be the cheaper one.

The info in my post was that taken from those who have actually bought said models. The only thing I have ever been sure about is SS11 being £99. I do, however, think there is no logic to reducing a later model more than an earlier model so am dubious about the prices you have listed of the 2010 models.

I still think people should be looking for SS10 - given that's the number someone reported way back on page 118 (i think) even giving the barcode.

These deals are definately still out there, just maybe a bit sparser. I have just picked up 2 Lumie clocks which definately have only just been put out as it's my local. One for my DS and one for my mum as they have been lusting over mine since they've seen it in action;) so are both very happy now:T
