Not sure if this is common knowledge but as I went for a 'browse' around my small local Tesco's Electrical Dept this morning, an SA beckoned my over, and said "this TV is a good deal...says OOS but it isn't, and I know you're in here alot looking around the electricals..."....ooohhhh shudder with embarrassment, but I soon got over it!! Anyway, TV was Teknicha 16" TV/DVD for £67.XX.! Didn't partake, but thought it might be useful to someone?

The model number for the Technika 7" Twin Portable DVD Player which has been found at £24 end AW10. The ones ending SS11 have been scannning £99.

I really wanted one of these for the car but there weren't any in my local stores. I did however, find the newer model (SS11) with an out of date SEL stating it was £79.97. As I needed it and had two different £10 off Morrisons voucher and a £5 off Tesco electricals voucher, I thought I'd just get it.

Of course I took my receipt to CS for double the difference (£40) and still had my £25 off making it £34.97 which I was happy with.

Check the SEL dates of items on promotion and make the most of newspaper vouchers; I always buy a couple of papers, sometimes 3 if they are as much as £10 off. If I don't use them all, I always offer them to someone else who is shopping so they don't go to waste.

Nothing in my local's either, sale assistant said everything went within 10 mins mostly to the staff. Was after a camera for xmas pressie. x

Sorry I'm getting mixed up now, I thought the ones scanning cheaper were AW11..... have I been looking for the wrong ones all this time :eek:

AW10 represents autumn/winter 2010
SS11 represents spring/summer 2011

So as they are getting rid of old stock, you should be looking for AW10.

Hope it's not too late for you and you find something. If not, try my route and maybe you'll come up with something

The DVD players i picked up yesterday were AW10 and scanned at £24.

If you look at the ones on sale on Ebay you will notice that there is a man with his arms in the air, on the cheaper ones. That way they are really easy to spot.
