its not too bad in the stores that have a self scanner...that way you can do it 'in private' :) but the stores without a scanner (or those that have broken or switched off ones)...you just have to find the bravado to fill a trolley and ask someone at the tills to scan eveything...sometimes they'llbe happy to do it, other times they wont...but they'll still do it! and its worth it if you get a bargain!

so if you go again...or for the next time theres bargains galore...leave the shyness at home...get bolshy, and dive in with the rest of us and get scanning!!!:)

Lol i need to be more brave hey!! I remember when the massive john frieda glith happened and everyone went made because it was 3 for £2 so we went tescos, me dad sisters and little sister and we took all the brunette shampoos and hair serum because we all have brown hair and the lady was like sorry 1 per customer!!! hahaha she didnt realise that we did one round before otherwise i would of been gutted lol, i think thats my best bargain yet!!

Sisters gone to pick little sister up from school so might go with her when she comes back!! Ill update if i see any bargains :D

s_glover it was b*tley. Had a good look round and coudnt find anyhting else. I asked if there were anymore satnavs and there were not, but I think the display models are comming off display soon and they will be cheap (according to SA). HTH x

B@tley bargains are practically non existent now. The SA told me the cheap stuff was cleared out over the weekend (when it first started).

There was a cheap display laptop that they were waiting to sell once a replacement was sent (they didn't want the new display to have an empty space) but apparently some 'customer' had kicked off about his consumer rights so they were forced to sell it to him there are then. I hope he wasn't an MSEr.

    Oh damn
I saw that display laptop the other week and was told I couldnt have it because it needed all the corperate stuff removing off it ( or something like that). Wish Id known about consumer rights lol. I was also told a couple cleared out all the electrical bargains a couple of weekends ago. Was pleased with my 1st finds today though x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I kicked myself too but the the OH said something along lines of "do you want to be a nasty person* so that you can get a cheap deal?"

*judging by the SA's manner when he was telling us about the 'customer', they felt quite harassed.

Thank you so much for all the lists and info. I managed to buy a Technika Dab/fm clock radio today for £6.50. Popped in the loft for DH birthday present.
I also managed to get a technika smartbox for £50 ( I also used the £5 off wys £50 coupon so £45)

    It's like treasure hunting.....

Went to the W@tf0rd store today - nothing to be had :(
Priorities were sat-navs, cameras and to find a hairdryer. I can't say I looked at toys, or the homeware stuff much.
None of the sat-navs there, cameras listed were scanning at full price as were the hairdryers and straighteners listed (or just £1/£2 cheaper than the displayed price on shelf).
No galaxy or e-readers, only kindles. No lumies, reduced George Foremans or DVD players either. :(

Wins : McCains garden games set, 2xTickets to Alton Towers, Links of London friendship bracelet, 2xIdeal Home Show tickets, McFly album CD, Virgin Balloon flight for 2 with a case of ScrumpyJack cider and 2 ltd edition jackets, Powerboat racing experience, £50 Virgin voucher, Aerobie Pro flying ring & Rice Krispie squares, Tesco baby pack
    :j
