I've had some good deals on cameras,

but today i wanted a lap top, and i've been in most days asking staff, the manager doesn't like me i think....lol
so i avoid him, but there's a lovely fella who works there, and i'm always asking him is there any lap tops, and he says no.
today when i asked him, he said that they had a few dell lap tops but they are nowhere near the price of £44 or £99 that went a couple of weeks ago.

    Never mind

But he showed me one at £199 but the specs were not that good, so he scanned another which came up at £249, it's a Dell M501R

didn't know if son in law would be happy with it, but he said as long as the top wasn't open then i could return it within 10 days.

So i bought it, son in law is reall pleased with it, as the specs are much better than what his old one had.

I know £249 isn't the bargain like some people have got, but it's cheaper than what we'd got if we'd gone to currys.

    thanks

was this in St H3lens store Chris? See any tomtoms?

Its true I have. Although not that store where there is no upstairs and its opposite some sort of army base. Nothing there however I was talking to a member of stuff who had a trolley full of electricals and so did her friend. They were saying that the staff had cleared the lot out... I didn't bother going back to that one.
Its a case of putting in the leg work, taking stuff to the scanner time after time. My Mother said a few times that she had looked on a shelf but nothing was reduced. I informed her that most of the time the SEL is wrong and you have to go check it yourself.
Its not a quick walk in a store and look around, you have to work for your prize lol! :)

i must have beenone step ahead of you at that store then (its the T*ton one)...cos thats where I got most of my stuff from!!!
They had some phones (think they were BT) on the sale electrical bit last night...marked down from £129.99 to £55....sel did say £55 but that store is good for stuff going through the til wrong (its where I got my 2 phones and prinnter free with DTD..plus £20 extra!)...so might be worth a shot if you're passing..if it goes through then the DTD would be great! I darent try it again on another set of phones!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Perhaps nabeela could have got something if the shelves had not been cleared. I notice most things have been bought in the plural.

lol...if thats a dig at me then I take offence...everything I got were gifts for other people or friends....I havent cleared the shelves...but I HAVE,as Angelina states put in the time and effort to go many times to have a look for these bargains...not expecting to put a post on here asking people to do the looking and buying for me. I replied to Nabeela before telling her the T*ton store was worth a shot....not my fault if shes not been to that store or any of the others. There are still lots of sale stuff at the T*ton store (and others)...but Nabeela, and others need to get off their backsides and go annd look for themselves, not ask people on here to do it for them!:)

Thanks for letting me know. I actually have some decent phones so again its not something i'm looking for. Thats the trouble, i've been quite specific in what i've wanted so most of the stuff I leave on the shelf!

    About the twin dvds:

The box is green with a picture of the two screens and a man with his arms up in the air. The barcode ends 9924. SEL is 99.99, scans at 24.00

Found some on ebay to show you a pic http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Technika-7-Car-Twin-Portable-DVD-Player-/330620834080?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item4cfa899120

That would be the Mereway Tesco (not Weston Favell), no? If so, they said they didn't have any yesterday or the day before!

I asked in WF and they said none left there, Mereway, Kettering or one other 'local' store (can't recall - I had switched off!).

Oh god no, is that the impression i'm giving? I don't want people to think i'm taking over their stores. I've only bought the things i've wanted and i've always tried to alert people to any bargains I've found.

I think I will have a little break from treasure hunting. Sorry guys if I've overstepped the mark. It is the best fun i've had in ages, how sad is that lol :D
