I've been trying most of the Glasgow southside and Lanarkshire ones all week and keep getting the same story that they did have great bargains but the staff got them and there's none "out the back". :(

I did notice that S1lv3rburn still have loads of the Toni and Guy straighteners at £5. Other than that nothing to report.

thanks I went down again to the southside one came away empty handed

well done to everyone that got a bargain tho :j
  • If anyone interested some of the toys and electrical are showing on the dot.com grocery if available in your area. My grocery shows rapunzel brushes 80p, breville hand blender £3 etc so its worth a look.

The 71p iron is showing for me, but obviously got postage to consider too...

  • Hi I know this is a massive ask, if anyone gets a laptop cheap and wants rid of it, would they please let me know I will cover all costs, a desperate for a one for my stepson. I live in the north east, thanks sooooooooooo much
  • H*uckn*ll in N*tting$am had some of the Technika MP4s today - priced at £13 ish. They have a SEL of £39 still. Careful - there are also the £49 which are full price.

They also have tubs of Clearance headphones and leads and stuff near the electrical desk. A lot of cheap laptop bags under the laptop display - various styles for a few £.

Also, downstairs near the baby stuff there are loads of solar garden lights. These are still SEL of £6/8 but go through at £2.50/3.

After yesterday's empty basket I managed to strike lucky at She**ield Abb*ydale - got a Remington Titanium pivot and flex shaver for £6.50. There were a few on the shelf but the other two I took up scanned at £79.99. I couldn't see the difference in the packaging but the cheaper one had dust on the top, so I'd suggest anyone with ropey eyesight like me just looks out for the dust. :)

I saw two Homedics portable shiatsu massagers on a clearance shelf which I would highly recommend but the one I took to the till scanned at £49.99 and they are less than half that price on Amazon - but perhaps worth keeping an eye on in case they are reduced.

I was there Tuesday night. Couldn't find anything on the list (although I didn't look at the cameras or Sat Navs) Overheard the assistant - rushed off his feet - saying to a customer that the cheapest laptop was £299.

There was a tesco staff member mooching around before her shift started and I lurked behind her but she didn't find anything either. :D

Not a sure fire winner but a couple of times I've happened to be in my local just after10pm when it's quiet and staff are coming off shift and doing there shopping and some items are coming "out of the woodwork". Noticing likely reduced items in their baskets/trolleys I've just asked where they got them from saying I've been looking for those. Some look a bit sheepish and say they were the last one (i.e. hidden behind the counter all day) but occasionally I've been directed to a location that has been restocked. That happened with the Sodor airports which I posted on the toy thread when I saw a SA with three in their trolley at 10:15pm

Anyway it may be worth asking with bargains now few and far between
    Awaiting a new sig
