TESCO Silly Price Electrical Items

Hi all, newbie here so be nice

I dont fully get what all this is about, I understand that there are glitches or just ridiculous discounts at Tescos on certain products, but it is the scanning bit that im not sure about.

By 'Scanning' do you mean that you take the product to the self scan checkout to check the price?

Im in the process of buying my first home so need to get some electricals such as an iron, hoover new tv etc so this would be really beneficial for me.

and hey presto a list of store nearest you. they even give phone numbers


we all want bargains but leaving people to do the hard work isnt much fun.
p.s they is no laptops within 50 miles radius of £astbourne store today

Recently back from the Wishaw store,all laptops/netbooks appear new,didnt find any in clearance or discontinued...there was a Sony vaio, it had a big WAS £.... Now£... sign,with no amount in,SA checked it,but it still scanned at the original £500+....also there were no barcodes on the white tickets,just the wee square thingy for scanning with your phone(this just brought up Tesco direct)....I did find the canon ixus 105 Camera,that people were getting for £50,but that still scanned at the SEL price of £89.99.....so,no bargains for me(tho i did get a reduced turnip for 25p and a bag of bananas for 37p;) )

They had one box of VO5 hair straighteners left. I had a look at the health/hair care section but couldn't see anything cheap. I can't find any scanner in the store so haven't scanned anything. Toys have been absolutely rubbish - nothing like what others have been posting. In fact the seasonal/reduced aisle is now mainly Xmas stuff. On the toy aisles I couldn't see anything reduced. I did get Zhu Zhu armour for 80p at the weekend. However I have changed my mind on this - would you be interested in it before I charity bag it (not worth taking back for 80p)?

The ones that are reduced arent the ones that are on the stands. I found mine by asking the tech guy if they had any discontinued laptops/netbooks in the back. He said it was ex display but it was still sealed.

visited about 10 stores in my nearby and some not so nearby vicinity looking for a laptop or netbook for my daughter for xmas and no luck even phoned some and asked if they had any discontinued ones but nothing if anyone sees any in the south wales area can they let me know plllllllllls
