I saw these in my local but I believe they are powered by 2 x AA batteries rather than the now more common lithium rechargeable battery. Makes a huge difference.

Are you sure? I've had 2 Canon Ixus cameras and both models used lithium rechargeable batteries, also the reviews for this one say lithium rechargeable batteries.

    Who's being nasty?

The OP sounds to me like they're genuinely trying to help people who've found themselves banned from Tescos for no real reason.

And I'm not the one who is being personal. I'm just trying to save poor CAB volunteers from having their time wasted by people who 'want to sue' for being banned from Tesco.

If it's a genuine grievance then that's fine but the law is a complex issue and when the 'discrimination' card gets pulled unreasonably it only ruins it for the genuinely oppressed.

Perhaps we can discuss this on the appropriate board and not clutter this one up eh? See you in DT?
  • Just back from Kn@cknag@ney, another madcap scanning spree - nothing in the toy department, the Babyliss set I got yesterday scanned at £14.99 and the men's razors and epilators were all full price too. My friend managed to get the last Breville iron at £4 and I got two Tescos 1600 irons for 71p each. One for myself and the other for a Christmas pressie. Madly wracking brains as to where there are other 'big' Tescos in the greater Belfast area, Newtownabbey and Newtownbreda haven't any price checkers, any ideas?

What about the one near Ikea (no idea what its called). You could also try the one in Ballymena - its my closest but due to the hassel I got there I no longer shop at it even if they handed the stuff out for free. The Ballymena one has a scanner on the far right hand side near where the toys used to be.

@ Lost2 -It seems to be instore that the big bargains are to be had, but offers vary from store to store.

No not sure, that's why I put 'I believe'
Like everyone I've looked at sooo many different cameras! :-)
  • just got back from Goodmayes Xtra, Romford. Not much to report i'm afraid (not a huge extra). Found a guy with a scanner who was happy to help, scanned all of the older stock digi cams and nothing rang up as a bargain. Strange thing is the staff member knew nothing about the discounts.

Could only find one of the items on the list (black and decker circular saw cd602 1150w), ringing through at £15 instead of the SEL £60. I only got one as I only need one (some people may want to re-read that last sentence) so there's 3 left in store for anyone in the essex area.
  • Ha ha, Natasha8642, thats where I was - at the Ikea one! It's only about 10 minutes across the carridge way for me. If I suggest Ballymena I may get eaten!!!
