TESCO Silly Price Electrical Items

really annoyed with my local tesco went there yest lookin for a netbook for my 12yr old for xmas and found a dell mini reduced to 99 asked a sa and was told there was none in stock...so asked if i cud buy the display model which i was told no....i asked if he cud ask the manager and he said the only way he cud sell it was if it was discontinued....he went off to ask the manager and told me in no uncertain terms that they were having another delivery of them and they cudnt sell the display model...so accepted this and thought as they were havin a delivery other stores might have them so when i come home i ring the stock check number for tescos and they tell me its been discontinued i rang the store back and asked and was told it has been sold now... i dont understand how they cud sell it to someone else but not to me???? spoke to a very nice assistant who scanned all the netbooks for me and said two had been reduced to 99 and she wud get the electrical manager to ring me back ...he just rang back and told me that the assistant got the barcodes mixed up and there are none infact for 99 available now...now is it just me or does this sound really suspicious he said he wud get someone higher up to ring me back tonight to see if they can sort anythin out but as the display model i originally wanted has been sold dont see what else they can do....any ideas if i can complain to head office about this ??

it might help everyone if we create a list of the items that we purchased and their price. when the next person posts they can copy and paste the list from the previous post and add their items to it. it will help people to know what they are looking for. to kick start the list is my one and only purchase so far -

Just back from tescos - managed to get a shaver for a bargain price :j

Philips electric shaver 7300 series special edition (has a formula 1 car and drivers picture on the front)

It had a White SEL with a star in the top left corner and price said £102.17 but it scanned at £10.21

The barcode ends 404545 if anyone is interested.

TESCO DISGUSTNG GREED AND DISHONESTY , in my book:

I went to Hatfield Tesco today and found the Panasonic FS30 (reduced to £30 from £110) in the instock area, I took the security box to electricals desk and asked for the item, after a while I was told it was 'out of stock ' , now the same thing has happened in Potter's bar Tesco and Ponder's end Tesco this week , suddenly items in stock that are reduced a lot become 'out of stock' .

Binatone t360 satnav also in stock reduced to £10 also became magically 'out of stock' in Hatfield Tesco.

I find that DISHONEST in my opinion. Certainly looks like staff are keeping discounted stock for themselves.
Why is Tesco top management encouraging dishonesty among their staff in this way?

Should you want to complaint to the CEO, I used this email 'philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com' , I am sure loads of you have similar stories, TESCO staff apparently think we are mugs, only good to pay fat prices while they grab the bargains before hitting the shelves, and even after with the in stock items that become suddenly 'out of stock'...

Has anyone had any joy in the Preston Home store today? I bobbed in yesterday and didn't really see much, was thinking of making a quick dash for it after work just in case... in my head if I do there won't be anything, but if I don't I will miss out on loads of bargain!

was this today? DH found the first one today but it scanned at full price, so no hard drives for us. disappointed as really wanted one. well done on all your bargains!
