Hi first post newbie here lol. Popped dwn the y@rco xtr@ at 9am found lots of reduced kids outdoor toys like barbie table an chairs £10, a 2 person tent £3 and lots of others. Prob not much left now tho a heard of mothers came in minutes after me and filled there trollys in seconds lol. The problem with this store is no scanners, so I tried a couple samsung blu ray players at customer service no luck, has ne1 else had ne luck in this store? I see a lad who worked in the tech department on sat running out the store with 2 laptops a sony and a toshiba i think, then heard others in the tech dep saying he got them both for £160 with his staff discount, lucky lad.

There is clearly some difference between store policy (or maybe not and some stores are flouting it). Staff in my store are adamant that they are not allowed to buy any of the bargain items
    Awaiting a new sig

Thought all the bargains were gone as I was told by one staff member earlier, but had to pop in to Tesco again and persuaded another one to have a look if there were any laptops tucked away anywhere. She came back with 2! Dell 1545-3881 £149.00 in black (not sure of spec) and a Dell 1545-9174 £99.00 in Purple.
So don't give up just yet, try and charm one of the friendly staff and you might be lucky?

Yes, seemed too good to turn down. The cheaper one £99 has a bigger spec 500gb as against 320gb of the other one. Don't know how they arrive at these prices but hey who cares!

  • Just got back with another Tresemme 2000 hairdryer £2.86 and 2 sets of headphones £1 each so am happy. Definately most stuff seems to be going to staff as they were busy reducing toys in one store I was in and the staff were getting far more than the customers. But it's not all staff as when I've paid quite a few staff are shocked at the prices. It would seem to be the select few in each store that are getting the bargains!
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • Were there any Acer Laptops on offer btw?

    fair play, well done!
  • Has anyone from NI managed to get any of these electrical bargains. My sister checked in the large Tesco in Craigavon but everything was full price.

I managed to get the panasoic camcorder (looks like the flip ones)for £15 there...2 on the shelf and the other one scanned at £120! Got 2 gear4 ipod clock radio docks, sel of £35, scanned at £12, sony headphone for £4 and my brother got a wee toshiba netbook on Fri for £99 but he overheard staff talking about them so asked for 1! Did she scan anything as the sels arent showing the discount? Thinking of heading over later to see if anything has been missed

There were not any laptops on display so I surmised that they had probably been stashed somewhere out the back? The sales assistant has probably grabbed another staff members goodies perhaps?

Btw, probably a good time to ask is when they have a staff shift change? That way the incoming staff will be unaware of whats what? Just a thought?
