PMT & Relationship Advice

I agree with sammy, I had terrible mood swings with my period, i could go from a loving wife to the devil at the flip of a switch, things got so bad my eldest would flee just from the sight of my face as he knew that it was that time again, and mummy would not be rational.
I got the implant about 6 months ago and when having a chat with hubby about him getting the snip as he wanted no more kids, so I could take this needle out he said 'please don't youve been so much calmer since it was put in!'. Worth asking the doctor about, also I have polycystic ovaries aswell and dint know that could also affect your PMT so worth checking that too.
DH also has kids fram a previous relationship (they both have their own kids!!) so yes I understand the someones taken your life kind of thing, and will say once we had our own child it didnt really bother me that he had kids before etc. I did get a bit funny about setting a date for the wedding as he just kept avoiding it, took him 6 years from asking me to get to the alter, I started to believe he just didnt want to marry me and the ring was to shut me up. Turned out he only wanted to get married once and was scared he'd muck it up somehow.
 Maybe your OH is a bit worried that after the breakdown of his previous relationship, he doesnt want to mess up this one with you.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £2470.95/£1000 (19) £0/£10000

It has something to do with the fact you get a steady stream of hormones throughout the month, no big ups and downs. There are pills that do a similar things, you take them all month round without a break.
I was a lovely person when i was on the implant. Then i became pregnant and had moments of being horrible again because of all the crazy hormones whizzing round, but from around 14 weeks onwards things settled down and i have been a lovely person again. :A:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0

i have the mirena but i havent noticed a difference with my PMDD but i now recognise the symptoms and so does everyone around me and they know how to react and either keep out of my way or dont ask me how i am (if i have a down day someone asking how i am is just like opening the flood gates lol)0

Thanks for your replies some made me cry, probably because I am emoticonal today!!
I have got a severity scoring of symptoms chart which I will start. Do you think I should do this for 2/3 months before I go to the doctors, or just go with my symptoms now. I like the idea of the cream so I will mention that and see what they say..... I am not giving up this time, It has taken over my life for too many years and only last month I told my OH I have had enough of feeling like this each time.
In terms of OH's past I know I need to deal with it, just not finding it easy to do. Any positive comments on how to overcome this would be appreciated.
 Thanks x0

I wouldnt wait. Go and see now and let your gp know you are going to write everything down. Explain about the chart, print off your scores if you can. Its hell living with bad pmt or pmdd, you shouldnt have to wait to get help.:A Mumslave :A0

I have just phoned the doc's and they don't have any app't with a female doc at the mo, so will have to ring up on Monday now, have asked for my online account to be rechanged so I can book an app't myself. Will have to wait and see....0

Go now to the Dr. There is no benefit to you waiting. You recognise the pattern so you don't need to chart before you go.
Helps to make a list of your symptoms though.
Even now I couldn't get the Bio Identical Progesterone cream from my GP. I tried but they didn't know anything about it *sigh*
If you google about you will find private Drs that prescribe it, you can get something a bit like it on Amazon but that just gave me raging headaches.
It costs me something like £39 for 2 tubes but its so worth it because thats what worked for me. Theoretically a tube lasts a month but you only use a bit so it lasts longer.
I had a telephone consultation which was expensive but I balance it out as what cost my relationship! Its worth every penny!
xxxI have realised I will never play the Dane!
Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! 0 0

You know some male doctors are very very good about dealing with period issues... Some of them are so scared of it they'll do exactly what you want!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o

In my experience I've found that male doctors can often be more understanding than female ones when it comes to women's issues. You know some male doctors are very very good about dealing with period issues... Some of them are so scared of it they'll do exactly what you want!Dum Spiro Spero0

that might be down to the fact we have to deal with the pots and pans which are thrown at our heads when we make an insensitive comment at the wrong time of the month...Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
 10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
 20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
