Just so you know I have an interest only mortgage of £135000 which i took out in 2007 and am currently paying £340 a month for a house that would rent for £800 ? Have a nice day
Wow, that's a very shrewd move. There seem to be quite a few people that are "clever" in hindsight.
It would be even more shrewd if you paid off some of the capital while rates are low.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

The worst thing about Australia is the cheese*. Their equivalent of cheddar is called 'Tasty' I think that they meant to call it 'Tasteless' but the name didn't go down so well with the focus groups.
*That's saying something when you look at the treatment of the Aboriginal peoples and Torres Straight Islanders.0 -
I found the chips to be pretty poor. The fish, however, was good (in the coastal cities of course).0

A word to the wise. You should eat potato scallops in Australia rather than the chips. Potato scallops are deeeeelishus.
The cheese however is terrible. Did I mention just how bad the cheese is? It's horrible.0 -

Yes they are.
I find them particularly good with roast chicken. The cheese however is terrible. Did I mention just how bad the cheese is? It's horrible.
I think you may have mentioned that on occasion.
We've been buying some wonderful cheese lately from a couple of the specialty producers at farmers markets.
Not very expensive but really, really good.
Proper cheese, delicious, good texture, in fact I'm making myself hungry now so I'm off to the fridge.:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I spent $60 on cheese in a single visit to Neals Yard Dairy on my recent visit. It is probably the best $60 I've spent since arriving in Aus.
I used to live in Brittany. By 'eck the cheese was good there even if it was imported from Normandy.
Australian cheese: just say yuck.0
