  • Hi,

I'm finishing today on £100.10, so 10p over budget, really not bad at all since we added in some junk food last week which cost about £7 and normally wouldn't buy. Will try to find October challenge now!

  • I am declaring £325.19 this month. So I managed to get £24.81 under budget. I am really pleased with this. Not long ago and my budget of £350.00 per month would have been for food and drink only  but now it includes cleaning, toiletries, nappies, wipes, school and nursery funds as well.

See you over on the October thread.

  • Well thats me declaring £348.53. Massivly over by nearly £100. No excuse really, I have meal planned but it just seems my shopping bill keeps going up. Although £350 sounds alot, that is for a family of 4, and we do eat well. My DH and I have started Slimming World this month so we have upped our fruit & Veg which will contribute to the rise. I think I will up next months budget to £350.

Off to the October thread now. See you all there!
    Just little old me!

    Hi All, :hello:

I can't believe how quickly the months are going by. I haven't had time to catch up I'm afraid so I hope everyone is ok. :)

I've today managed to get my receipts put into the spreadsheet and I'm amazed how little we've spent this month. It seems that OH really has got the bug of keeping costs down as, apart from one shop I did after work, he's bought everything this month and we're well below budget. It must be because we had a large online order right at the end of August. Ooh, and I bought the cats food for a couple of months so that hasn't been spent this month either.

He is out shopping today though and so I won't declare until tomorrow when I've got the final totals.

All my thanks, good feelings and best wishes to everyone and I'll update tomorrow.

    All the best,
    Spigs

P.S sig is up to today's date.

Reporting £195 for this month...so add on another £25 for bits i've most likely forgotten to add...

    £220

for September for me, OH and 1 dog including toiletries, household, food and fuel. We still have half a tank of fuel! We could do a lot better, but not toooo bad. Must try harder next month. OH will be returning to work on monday in a new job, so our expenses will be greatly increased, especially fuel and lunch-type food (and tupperware!!). I'm a bit flummoxed about what budget to set for next month. I think I will leave out fuel for october as I simply don't know how much it will be...but not sure how much to allow for packed lunches? Aaargh!

But anyway, I'm really pleased with myself for keeping this up for a whole month! Thanks so much for the support girls and guys, even if a lot of it involves me lurking and reading your posts instead of getting involved!
