EH - So sorry to hear about OH aunt.

It feels like I am not getting anywhere with my UU's this month :(. I started the challange last October and I have been on reflecting on my overall stash which was over 600 items . I think that I am making very little headway with some types of products whilst constantly UU the same products.

I have very little movement on shampoo & conditioners, nail polish and nail care products, lipstick and eye shadow. While I constantly seem to buy night cream, mouth wash and deos.

I have decided to make more of an effort with my nails (I used to have them done all of the time). Since my back injury I just haven't seemed to bother with them. At first because I was in too much pain, then too tired after I got back to working full time and now I is more that I am out of the habbit.

My hair is now really short so I get why I have little movement on the shampoo & conditioner. The make up I use every day but it just seems to last and last. Still looking on the positives - it is all very :money:

So to start me off I PYON tonight - No7 Beanie followed by Rimmel Top Coat.

    Morning everyone!

Day off work today as its my Graduation (feel sick already :() so up stupidly early as Im used to my alarm waking me at 7am....

My BS order came yesterday, thankfully a neighbor took it in for me - fairly impressed with it as its my sisters xmas presents done, the hair brush for myself is pretty good - spent hours last night brushing my hair with it after a shower trying to get it looking ok for today. The mascara I got free is a bit odd, Ive never seen a mascara tube so long haha - it is waterproof which I figured would need to be essential for today considering Ill probably end up getting soaked.... Only thing is, and I seem to find this with all mascara's expensive or cheap is that bits of it flake off and so I end up with loads of flakes all under my eyes and Ive no idea why?

Good news is we've fixed our shower :j: Went to B&Q last night in the hope that we could get some super strong drain cleaner but the stuff they had worried me (seemed incredibly toxic etc) so we ended up with a plunger instead which seemed to do something. I managed to pull out a blooming sticky thing (you know the sucker things you use to stick things to windows) - well that came out of the shower drain, and thats not something that would have ever of got in there since Ive been here and thats over a year now. Last night I had a proper shower for the first time in ages and the water didn't rise at all - just all went straight down the plughole! Needless to say I think I can actually spend a bit more time pampering myself now and hopefully will actually use up more of my stuff......

mmm yes its lovely and only £3 for a big bottle, kinda smells like the Starbucks gingerbread lattes you get you Christmas mmm

I love fragrances like this. My fave is Philosophy Pumpkin Spiced Muffin but don't think they make it any more.

EH - sorry for your loss. Take care. xx
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Oh no, I've got more INs - And I thought I'm making a progress! Since the start of the challenge, I now have more INs than OUTs! But, most of the product I got were free samples or from competitions...

Yesterday there was a Vogue Night Out event at Oxford St, so I went shopping. There was a lot of free wine and nibbles given out in shops, DJs etc, so it was good. I went for a Givenchy make-over and got a Magic Kohl eyeliner in black. I don't use a pencil eyeliner that much because the ones I had (Miss Sporty and Body Shop) were too hard, and didn't get much colour on your eyes. The Givenchy was so soft and easy to apply, it will be my everyday eyeliner from now on! i think I'll just bin the other ones.
They also gave me 3 perfume vials and a moisturiser sample, so 5 INs in total.

I have got a request, could you please vote for me in the Jaeger competition on Facebook? I normally don't do that sort of stuff but this one was kinda fun, you had to colour in a handbag.

I think you need to 'like' Jaeger first. Thanks!
  • Very late to the party this month (real life got in the way!) But I managed not to buy anything unnecessary in August.

1 UU - Elemis shower cream, it was a trial size that came with their recent promotion. It was spicy smelling and very rich, lathered up well and lasted for ages. WIBA, yes and I was going to except that I popped into TK Maxx and saw they had Dalissime shower gels for only £2.99. Dalissime is my favourite perfume so I bought that instead (actually, there were only 2 left so I bought both). I did however manage to resist the matching body lotion as I have enough of that for the next couple of years I suspect.

  • Erm... Just came on to put pictures of dresses up as promised, but can't figure out how to insert a picture... help??!! :)

On toiletry related news, I have a UU - St Ive's Apricot scrub. I probably had another use left in it and had cut the end to get to the dregs, but then dropped it in the shower this morning and lost the last little bit.

Am going to bite the bullet and throw out the dregs of my kerastase shampoo tonight - have tried to use it up this week and it's nearly there, just a couple mls left, but it smells detergenty and I think it's just as it's sooooo old, so off to the bin with it!

Hey everyone. Haven't managed to read back yet but will do soon. :)

    Some INs to report:

Imperial Leather Foamburst in Vanilla - Much needed. ;)
Schwarzkopf XXL Live in Cosmic Blue - Some of the previous hair dye has washed out leaving me with some blonde seeping through. I'm blaming the B4 colour remover I used as I've never had a problem before.
Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette - This was a win so no money spent (although, it's worth about £26 apparently.)

I UU a sachet of Nive lotion this morning. Creamed my feet when I got into bed after a very long, very busy, no sitting down shift. Nice smell, tootsies still feel moisturised now. WIBA?: Still have many (many!) sachets of this stuff in the bowl but possibly. Am very impressed with all of the nivea freebies we were given actually. Also have lots of £1 off vouchers so will be looking to utilise them possibly in conjunction with a Boots Christmas points evening?
Still not had a chance to photograph all of my smellies. Will attempt to do it over the weekend.
Wrote out a list of extra shifts which I could do last night (4 in a month :() and then forgot to give the list to anyone to book me in for the shifts. Really need to be doing at least 1 extra shift per week at the moment to try and build up our money. I may have to increase my hours again to full time due to the economic climate and money dripping through our fingers like water but don't think my manager will allow me to and I really don't want to.
Was toying with the idea of doing extras and putting half of my overtime towards holiday and half towards the mortgage but don't think that the mortgage can be added to as we'll need every penny of my overtime to pay for holiday.
