Thats the chimney rebuild instructed today - thank goodness. Hoping we can get it resoved now. Thats one of three chimneys of course......disaster could still befall me!
Payday looms - but not until next Tuesday - I'll manage till then ( despite everything!) There may not be anything in the wine fund for the weekend but thats ok - nothing planned anyway!!
Two of my friends have moved away recently - tsk. The good news is that both are off to nice places so holidays may be possibleGot to exploit that one haven't I?
No spends to manage a return visit to physion - just got to hope the old neck holds out.
This months mortgage OP will take me under £31k :jMay 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!
March 2019 - CC gone and bye bye M2 on 31st! £140k to go.:j0 -
Ooh yess i love holidays
would be nice for you if you could grab a little break ds , i think it does you good just to get away from the house & workplace now & again & if you can try to suss out a bargain break then even better eh? I have a weeks leave to take by end of march & how obsessive am i with all this mse now ,when i'm thinking of asking to be paid for it instead of taking it for goodness sake ??!! And whats worse is that i am actually totally worn out, silly woman am i !!
Bet you'll be glad when you can draw a line under the chimney saga & move on from that ( & no not onto to the next disaster no lets not go there !!) You know you'll make it to payday ds you always manage it somehow..... including that all impt bottle at the wknd :A0 -
Totally overheating. Strange warm windy weather and am wearing my puffa jacket - phew!! Walked back from a meeting to save on taxi fare and am now roasting!
As I passed all the sandwich shops I realised its months since I bought a sandwich - packed lunch or crackers these days. I wonder how much I've saved? Easy to spend about £20 a week isn't it?
I also walked past all the shops......can't remember the last time I did that!! My clothes are looking pretty tired though......sighs deeply.........May 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!

Milk man has overcharged me by £5 this week. Its a sad state of affairs when you are patroling your bank account twice a day - but I am and don't miss a trick these days! Suitably informed of his error!!
I'm turning into my dad.May 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!

Didnt have time one day last wk so went to mr t's to buy meal deal' thought better of it & for same price got 8 x value rolls, pack value ham, pack of 12 value snacks, value pickle & all that did lunch for whole wk for less than bloomin' £2.50 !! Got some odd looks at work however

Well - just spent nearly £150 on a flippin hoover so it better be good. Special cat/dog one so hoping the fluff gets sooked up - better work!!
I hate spending money on things like that.
Looking forward to tomorrow 'cos its payday.
Is it sad that I get excited about paying another chunck of debt off and another mortgage payment made? Maybe I need to get out more......:oMay 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!

Payday and another bite taken off the debts / mortgage. I get too excited about updating my signature on here - very sad but I can't wait till that card is paid off. 3 months to go yippee!!
The money I spend on that will then go into savings - my spreadsheet tells me that I'll have my £6k savings goal by Jan 2014 - seems a long way off but I'll feel pretty comfy even with £3k and that will be this time next year.
Feels like I'm wishing my life away.
My friend was round the other day and I told her I'm aiming to be mortgage free by 2016 - and no debts obviously - she was agog! In a good job - reasonable mortgage but quite a lot if you look at it as debt (many don't) - cards of about £5k but she's never had to worry about her job security so hasn't focussed on the doomsday scenario. She does have nice shoes and handbags though!!!
Hey ho - another step forward eh? :jMay 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!

Downsizer... I have many friends with nice car, nice hair and nice shoes but they don't experience the satisfaction of overpayments and they don't know their bank balance to the nearest pence... their loss! I'm not surprised your friend was agog...MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

Too true MRN! You can't live in a Mullberry handbag if you loose your job and it all goes Pete Tong - or so I tell myself on bad days!May 2018 - £159k + £3.5K CC - let the countdown begin!

And most Mulberry bags aren't suitable for job interviews either... so a complete waste! Anyway never mind the label on the bag... any spare change in there for the overpayments pot?!!!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
