Thanks OP! Took the last 4 AAs off the shelf and 2 AAA packs. Got both discounts of £14 and £10.50. Bargain!

This was about half an hour ago at an extra store. Might go back later and see if they have re-stocked.

I don't normally post on this board, but have been reading recently and you guys get some fantastic bargains .... so hope you can give me a bif of guidance ...

In the two stores that I went in it had different offers on the SEL, but it worked in both. I don't think it's working in Expresses, only Extra's.You should have bought 3 in your extra HTH:)

Did your ones just have Buy 1 Get 1 Free - but they scanned as per the glitch ?

Ooh ... I shall feel quite naughty if I manage to get a glitch .. :j!!!

Just back from second trip to my local extra today.... picked up 6 of the AAs and 6 of the AAAs,,, worked a dream.... 96 free batteries and 20 luxury bog rolls all for the pricley sum of 19p.

My extra they where listed as Buy 1 get 1 free so I only scanned the two... now i'm thinking perhaps I should have scanned a third... doh!

i just got 6 at Pitsea Extra - the till person asked me if i was stocking up on batteries - yep 1st xmas with little on stock up why BOGOF, she then did a double take at the total and tried to work out what had happened !!!!!!!!!!!!! she said we have just paid you to buy these batteries if i were you i would go and get some more, LOL i did have another look buy someone had cleared the shelves only had AAA left.

Lol, I'm tempted to try again when hubby gets in at 3.30pm (here's hoping he's had a good first day back at work after our hols) after my disastrous 18 packs this morning. Will return some the one I paid for today.

Hope you don't mind my asking, but did they show as buy 1 get 1 free - or b1 get 2 free - I'm in a dilema as to if my extra has a diff deal to others, as per my earlier post ..
