Went through the checkout at 9:43am at Cl**thorpes and only bogof worked. £10.50 for 6 packs.

But saying that, got 2 of the £2.50 chickens off the butchers counter, 2 x Fairy Platinum washing up liquid bogof, 4 x Tesco Liquid clothes wash on bogof, 4 x wholewheat penne pasta 22p each, 2 x half cucumber portions much longer than a whole one (plus I didn't choose the 'handle' end) and a swede portion twice the size of the whole swedes (90p) for 50p!

I've got plenty of batteries for the torches for when we can't afford electricity anymore! lol

Worked for me in W.Avenue, Cardiff where i got £7.50 off rest of my shopping buying 15 packets.:j:j
DID NOT work in C**verhouse Cross store. Talbot Green store had no batteries, so someone had emptied the shelf or they had been removed by staff. All are extra stores..

I got the last 6 packs in pengham green. Were there any left in western Ave Gemini?

There were at least 10 packs of AAA but did not try those. Had all the AA size.

Just got back and worked on AAA's & AA's I got 54 packs in total. Did 3 lots in mutiples of 6 and 3 lots in multiples of 12, so in total got £31.50 off the rest of the shopping, my last receipt was at 11.20 am. Can't go back again as the security guards were giving me strange looks:rotfl:I left loads on the shelves though for any fellow MSE'ers, Big thanks to the op as used the "free money" to buy loo rolls so well stocked on them now:rotfl:

Just had great fun in Tesco Bedford (for anyone reading this from round here - the one off Goldington Road, haven't got a car so couldn't try the other one, or the Express in town). Saw an assistant walking along from the customer service area to restock what looked like 18 packs of batteries (that had presumably been returned). I then queued up to return my 6.... as another MSE women went through the self checkout with some, then queued straight up to get a refund!

As it's not working, I'm not sure if the staff know or not... but they must be sure something dodgy is up elsewhere in the country for battery sales to go through the roof and then all get refunded!

Sorry folks, I think it did work in cardiff! On my receipt it says batteries 2 free -£14 then farther down buy 1 get one free -£ 10.50 I'm sure it was a second discount in the batteries.

That was the right discount for the batteries, gives £14 off then another £10.50 on 6:T:T:T:T:T

Thanks OP, Just worked for me ...was in a normal Tesco (London)

I bought 21 packs of batteries all together, did 3 AA first then once the discount worked I bought 18 more.

16 AA and 2 AAA, checked my receipt and AAA batteries didn't give a discount only AA worked for me.

first discount Batteries 2 Free -£42.00 then took off Buy 1 get 1 free - £28.00
