Right i'm going up lol!
Buuuut i've looked online and i'm only seeing AAA's in a blue packet. For me the double AA are in a brown packet. Can I assume only AAA will work in my store?
To you people getting double AA's, does your store sell them in blue not brown?0 -

This is a great find, I'm going to get some batteries for my kids too. :T0 -
First store (ordinary tesco) only had 2 x AA packs so got those plus 1 AAA. Took off £7 at till (said batteries 2 free on receipt) - still a good bargain at £3.50 for 3 packs.
Second store (extra) also only had 2 x AA packs - so, thinking I'd get the same deal as in the first store, I picked up another AAA pack and (foolishly thinking the total price would be £3.50 as per first store) I went to a manned checkout And the b***** thing came up as a big fat zero! This threw the CA (fortunately a lovely, laid back guy) into a tail spin and he called the supervisor inspite of me frantically telling him to void it and I'd put them back (oh how I bent the truth!). The Supervisor scratched his head and said 'sometings not right - I'll sort it later' and walked off. The CA called him back and asked what he should do about me - and the wonderful Supervisor shrugged and said 'if thats what the till says, give them to the lady at the till price'! I was amazed. So, I may not have got quite such a good deal as some but I'm delighted with 6 packs of 8 batteries for a total of £3.50.
The extra store clearly took off bogof and 3 for 1, the normal store only did 3 for 1 even though the sel said bogof.ELITE 5:2
