£847.29 cleared this month!
Hoping for a really good update next month as lots of the freelance jobs should be completed and paid - do however have a very expensive month for the car (MoT, service and unknown repairs from the engine warning light being on!).
Sooo close to being under £10k owing
I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
So, payment from job is now in my bank account and I've swept the tax (that will be owed!) to my ISA leaving me £609.68

Car booked in for service & repairs on Saturday so waiting on that and I'll put the remainder against the debts. I'm hoping for £300 left over, with a bit of good luck!I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
Not good!
Car service was £185, which is about what I expected... but the repairs needed will cost about £900!
Need a new cat (this is the expensive bit!), new alternator belt tensioner and console bushes plus labour.
Least I can afford it without using any credit, but not going to be able to make any overpayments this month :mad:I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
You are still doing fantastic and hardly even mention you didnt have a beer now as seems you go most days without. How many hours a week are you working with the extra jobs you have on? My full time job is about 30-40 hours a week, my extra jobs i have on take that upto about 60 hours. Will be increasing more in summer if i can keep the work coming in!!
What kind of car do you have? Do you have a debt free date worked out?Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

I have a VW Polo 1.2 (05 plate).
I'm hoping to be debt free by Christmas this year - see my sig
I work 40 hours and I'm putting about the same (or maybe slightly more!) into my freelance stuff :eek:I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
Oh right, thought it would be some fancy thing. Seen alot of posters on here with debt and a fancy car.....or a fast car, like me!
Yep, me also. I have debt simular to yours but still stay at home with parents so big surplus every month to get it paid off!
I am a bit of a workaholic and kinda wish i could find enough work just now to be doing 80 hour weeks, i just love keeping busy!!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Well the car bill has been paid of £800
Still need the alternator belt tensioner doing as the part the supplier sent them was the wrong one, another £100 needed for that... and I've booked it in for it's MoT on the 24th - it'd better sail through after all I've spent! Car is running better than ever though
Only working (the day job) two days this week so will be putting a lot of time into the freelance jobs and some chores that need doing around the home.
Gonna be very little headway into the debt this month because of the above - but the debt will still be smaller at the end of the month than it was at the beginning.I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
I've received a letter today from Santander (I'd received my 'goodwill gesture' payment of £2.7k previously).
The letter states that they have recalculated the previous goodwill gesture and noted a discrepancy of £130.01 and a cheque is enclosed for that amount.
They state they have also added an additional £50 to the enclosed cheque (which by my math makes it £180.01) as an apology.
Guess what?
No cheque was with the letter!
Santander's incompetence never ceases to amaze me, I will be on the phone to them first thing tomorrow.
On a better note, payday tomorrow!I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
