Fibromum-the paper work is horrible. crb check forms to fill in for me and DH, medical Q to be filled in and signed by Dr (which i will be charged for!) and then a whole ton of other forms and questions to be filled in/answered. i keep wondering if it will be worth it!
If my sisters experience is anything to go by, it will be!
She made the move a few years ago now, and loves it. None of the pressure of her previous job, she gets to spend so much more time with her own two girls, and they actually saved money, as she no longer needs to pay for travel, incidentals at work, the odd lunch out, or drinks after work etc etc.
She now has a full group too. It was expected as demand is so high in the area, but you just never know for sure until you actually do it.
Good luck! I am sure you will do greatFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Online supermarket shop done. Also ordered 6 pairs of yaktrax at significantly lower prices than expected (1 small, 2 med and 2 large of the walker, plus a pair of pro for me) so that's a whole lot of christmas presents sorted... They frequently run out when the cold weather starts. I have a US colleague who always keeps a spare of each size at home to give to people who need them.
Thanks for the reminder!!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

my other frog is paperwork, to be done when the kids are in bed, so I can get ofsted registered to be a childminder. Important job if I want to get registered by christmas! This is my biggest frog too, I have been putting it of for 2 years! It stares at me from a giant hold all in my bedroom. I had the excuse that we needed an extn built for a playroom before I start but that is now finished - builders left in June! Ah but fences not completed yet so still no secure boundary - no excuses any more will def get it out when school starts and I have piece and quiet.
I dont know about your registraation requirements but mine ar at least 50 pages!!! I will tackle it one page at a time.
Keep posting !
Good luckI registered 3 years ago, but I don't remember the paperwork being THAT daunting! They seem to add things all the time
Valli is correct in saying that ANYTHING you have to pay out for, keep the receipts and put through your books as a lump sum of 'start up costs' when you start working. If you need any help, you can pm me
