  • evening ladies x I said I would join in at the start of the week, and I have, I promise. I've just been trying to avoid the laptop, because that way I get more done. so I haven't been posting but I have still been flying. the house is actually looking half decent at the mo, and I've even helped DH attack the garage (it needed doing, before it decided to attack us:eek:).
I discovered today that the girls go back to school on tuesday, and not wednesday, oops:o. so that gives me a day less to finish sorting out uniforms. I bought their shoes today, DD1 has gone up a full size over the hols and DD2 has now got her very first pair of school shoes, she is:jso excited! just need to buy tights and a couple more polo shirts now. oh, and pumps, forgot about those:(.

I have started sewing in name tapes, so will get those finished tomorrow night, maybe with a glass of wine and a film, seeing as I'll be home alone(sqiddlies in bed).
I have a loooong list of little jobs that I need to get done before I go back to work on monday, I must be one of the few parents that wish the school holidays were a little longer:rotfl:.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and next week I'll try harder to join in properly and actually be present on the board for a bit! xxx

Glad to 'see' you back! :D

greenbee - glad you've got company.

    Glad you're feeling better, sharon.

Wish AF would stay away here, too. I've had quite enough now, thanks, but she's likely to be around in the next few days. :(

    Me, too - but as a teacher I'm biased, I suppose. :o

I've really enjoyed being on here during the last 6 weeks, but will be back to occasional posts and reading back a page or so from Monday. I'll miss keeping up with everyone's news. I've made a wish for a Christmas present (work related) and if it comes true, 2012 will already look much brighter. I'm also still determined to sort this hovel and I have a plan, even though my track record with plans isn't great.

Bit worried about OH at the moment, because he doesn't look at all well. He won't talk about it, though, and refuses to cut down on things he feels he has to do. I suppose I don't help, sometimes, because I stay up too late (and then so does he) or I suggest things that will tire him, such as going shopping for his glasses after he's been working. He's back at the hospital in two weeks for a review with the consultant, but I won't be able to go.

Hey Flyfolk - hope your all well!

Went into town today for the school-shop run... hate going in there - but its done now.

Finished the kitchen, all sparkly clean, floors bleached, fridge sparkly, shopping put away.
Dining table covered in folded laundry
Coffee table covered in folded laundry
    armchair covered in folded laundry
    Floors hoovered and mopped.
LO bedroom stripped - mattress hoovered and put back now its dry,
    memory foam topper reassembled,
    bed made.

Regarding LL news - yes she is hoping to Travel to Vegas when she is well enough - but Im sure she will be along to tell you about it herself. :) xx

Hope you are all well - have since decluttered LO into his newly made bed.

Im now single again after my holiday - most people go to Vegas to get married - I went and got single! :rotfl:

However, have also decided to move back to Scotland and go back to Uni.... Big plans and all seems to be happening a bit fast - but need to just get on with it really and stop procrastinating - should have done it years ago...

Off to enjoy a glass of wine :D xx

    Heloooooo

I went to Morrisons and got
2 punnets of salad toms @ 9p each
    1 sad bunch of basil @ 9p
1 pack of sweet (The Best) peppers @ 9p

so this SCREAMED pasta sauce at me so

I washed and quartered the toms
    stripped the basil
washed and sliced the sweet peppers
    chopped an onion
and have flung them into the SC with a teaspoonsful of very lazy garlic, salt, black pepper, a zshuszh of Worcestershire sauce and a glug of olive oil (for autheniticity) and a bit of water so they're going to transform into a yummy pasta sauce while I ZZZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzz

    I hope!

    Beds stripped and changed
bathroom gleaming BUT low energy bulb is carp and it's DUSK in there
(good job we have a shaving/make-up light)

Wow, Jo - that's a lot of change and it sounds great! Wish you all the best with your plans.

Don't think I'll use the Vegas-method of decluttering OH, though. I'm sure there's an easier way. ;)

sorry about the HHC ladies - during which I mopped kitchen floor, brought in washing, turned up music, cleaned bathroom, turned up music, ironed, mopped kitchen floor turned up music and TRIED VERY hard to appear like I wans t listening to what was goin on next door...

    background.

some houses on our road and across from my have no roadside (just footpath, so their vehicles park on the road anyway bloke across road was using, and parking, work flatbed. Someone wrote anonlymously to his firm to compalin. Was NOT me but I don't know who it was and it has generated bad feeling anyway of late he hasn't had the flatbed but a chunky 4x4 thing. and he parks it overnight BUt in the morning he gets his own, garaged in a garage site, car and puts THAT where he wants to park his works vehicle and goes to work (think 'towel on sunbed' scenario.)
But today NDN spotted gap (must've been car shuffling) and parked HIS works van in gap. And blow me if bloke across didn't come and ask him to shift it (NDN said no) and the 'discussed' this for over an hour and I did not want to listen but I couldn't help overhearing some.

Well I don't like bloke across parking flatbed outside my house. But I know it's not illegal so I left it. Other then asking him to move it once when I had tyre man coming and he wouldn't. But that's all I've done.

I didn't send the anonymous letter but I bet he thinks I did but when he eventually gets round to actually asking me if I sent it (as opposed to posting a copy of it through my letterbox) I shall tell him that, if he had had the balls to ask me about it at the time he would know that not only did I NOT send it, but that I wouldn't have stooped so low as to write an anonymous letter but, moreover, that I wouldn't have claimed to be speaking on behalf of my neighbours when I hadn't discussed it with them. He is TRYING to be a big bully and it won't wash with me and IF he does try to bully me he will be very sorry because I will NOT be driven out of MY home or have my 'quiet enjoyment' ruined by a !!!! like him.
