What happened to the sunshine? It was lovely yesterday and I loaded 2 x double quilt covers, sheets, pillowcases last night to wash early this morning so I could dry them in the sunshine today. Hmmmm - now got the cover on the shower rail and the wooden clothes airer above the stairs is jammed full!!! Never mind.

Got a typing job to do in a minute then need to wrap present as DS has been invited to the party of our new lodgers' little girl (they've just moved into my old house). Need to get a birthday card too. Got other bits and bobs to do but beds all made, cleaned up after breakfast etc. Have to wash up but my poor hands are so dry right now I'm leaving it til I have a lot to do and then just get them wet the once.

DH gone down to Bude to bring DD back - she's been with her Nan since last Sunday night when we left. She's only ever been away from us for 1 night so this has been a real change for us; been fine and we've chatted a few times a day. Even DS has missed her and they normally fight like cat and dog!

Hope you all have a good day x

Right. My back is still on the mend, so in about 10 minutes I'll be whipping DH and DD into action whilst baby DS is asleep.

    On the agenda today:
LR - declutter floor, table and the hotspot of the spare sofa
    - dust fire surround
    - hoover
    - baby proof
Send DH to loft to bring down fire guard, next stage car seat and memory foam topper (DD has been complaining her bed is lumpy) and put up 1st stage car seat.
Put at least one basket of laundry away.

That should do it for today as hoping rain will keep away so we can take DD to a little fair this afternoon.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all

Happy 1st birthday to greenbee's nephew! Sending you some spoons to cope with the party.

Mrs B - I'm fairly sure that he is. When he was in hospital I called at the shop in town where he works. Apparently he'd had a few 'funny turns' over the last few months.
I hope your weekend goes well. Could you enter everything you think needs doing on a list with 3 columns: must be done before Monday (as opposed to 'would like to get it done'), must be done during the week, can wait until next weekend? Then you could break it down further.

Will go and find my listy now - not the early start I'd planned.

bully DS1 into applying for jobs
send work e-mails once I can attach documents  still can't!
laundry - WIP - only towels and bedding to go in (but I've found more)
    set up calendar
    de-flea cat
forms for OH (DVLA and permitted work)
nag DS1 to look for card wallets for Disney cards
    school to-do list
    check uniform for DS2
take car for check-up Sat 1pm
    check my clothes for Monday
    contact DS2’s TA/childminder
collect DS1’s national insurance card (don’t ask)
    child benefit/tax credit phone calls
    sort folder for DS1’s certificates
    cancel two insurances (not needed)
sort OH’s prepayment cert for meds
Euros for DS1 - find nearest postoffice which does currency
cancel buildings and contents insurance (Saving £10 a month compared to last year and £20 compared to renewal) :money:

I'm sure you're right Mrs Chaos - think I need to be more realistic about how much I can actually prepare for the Show tomorrow to be honest.

OMG. A knitting pattern that I meant to EBuy has been relisted - they've reduce the price and increased the P&P to £1.50! Economy posting at that! I'm too mean for that.

Right. Lots of Flying done in my slippers - very non-Flylady. Off to chuck three cakes in the oven then going for a personal scrub. Going to see how many things I can put on the upstairs landing that I need to pack for the Show while the bath draws.

  • Hi Everyone
Been busy yesterday, out and about, then book club last night, found out that one lady who has a 2nd hand book business is going to declutter most of her 10,000 paperback books from her log cabin because it it too expensive for her to list for sale, she is going to focus on 1st editions and antique nooks only. Amazing, i am tempted to go round and chose a few she is going to declutter, but must be diciplined about decluttering my old books firt to make way for them.

The book club met for the first time so it was great to meet lots of mums wanting me time for their love of books!
The house we met at was the biggest I have ever seen, she owns a vinyard, makes me embarrassed to host a meeting at little old mine!

Anyway as long as its neat and tidy and has some of my home made cup cakes I will hold my head up high!

    So done this morning:
washed, dressed to flip lops, DD dressed, everyone fed, WM loaded, DW unloaded.

Anyone up for HHC at 11.30?

Lockable cupboard emptied of shredded paper (thank you Penny!) I took Squeak out of it twice.. filled a binbag and a wash basket!! put a couple of bits back in the cupboard and it looks all neat and tidy now... shame I trashed the rest of the room in the process.

    Still no tesco delivery... gggggrrrrrrrr

    hello

free listing so I'm a bit busy - but I have another grumpy customer..oh dear

    wants a refund *sad face*

tomato stuff cooked ok. checked seasoning and added more so simmering now. I whizzed it with the hand blender - looks like posh soup! I'm torn whether to have it as soup or pasta sauce (or both really)

HHC sabbotaged by unexpected visitor, DD left her DS at friends house yesterday so her dad was returning it.
Luckily these are really good friends of ours and live in semi chaos too so not at all worried about letting him in.

This spurred on a mammouth hunt for missing DS games - they get on my nreves, the games are never in the right cases so we just had a massive search thro house, bagsm car etc to match them all up. Only 2 to find and DD thinks she left one at her friends so the Dad said he would seek it out over the weekend.

Only just managed to reload DW, and so hand washing up and wipe kitchen work tops.
DP is busy on phone trying to get some decent offeres for selling our VW, we have too much cash tied up in it and need to pay off CC before 0% rnns out in Dec.

Frogs - still same as yesterday but am determined to put a few things on ebay today as free listing weekend.
    reprt back later x

Hall - coats shoes bags etc all put away to rightful homes
    Bathroom - cleaned, floor mopped
