Just a quick update; it's taking twice as long as usual to do everything; considering my "usual" is three times as long as it should take, I'm not too impressed.:(

Mr LW has [STRIKE]been coerced[/STRIKE] volunteered to scrub the loo, so I'll just have the bath, basin, shower screen and tiles to try and do tomorrow. :o

Vanilla glad DD likes her new school - after all the misery she went through before, she deserves happier schooldays.:o

LW... Chill... your house will NOT fall down if it doesnt all get done.. judging by the fact I havent completed a whole week in 2 years and my house is still standing!

Vanilla.. so pleased DD had a good day.. long may it continue!

10000000000000 ebay pics done... that was BORING!!!!! in the extreme..

I did however find a battenburg in my room which I fully intend to scoff shortly... and OH needs to decide if he is going to tesco tomorrow or if I am doing a delivery..

Yeah, I know.... I'm sort of obsessive-compulsive about these things; result of having it dinned into me as a child that less than perfect is Not Good Enough, I guess.:o

Still, the loo has now been scrubbed; he came back in the lounge and proudly announced that he'd used the scouring pad, and disinfected all over, and that it's all lovely and white, and no limescale. Bless!:A:A:A

Poor lamb's got to prep the spuds for tomorrow's Quorn fillets in white wine sauce with chips shortly, too.:D

In all seriousness, I am so lucky to have a DH who knows how to do housework, and doesn't whinge if I need him to pick up the slack sometimes.:A

  • Evening ladies,

I am back from my short trip to the seaside. Twas fun (ish ;))

My DB is hard work and my DM can be quite demanding.
Home to the PILs as they cat sat - very grateful. Cooked a very simple meal of filled pasta with a rocket salad and doughballs which seemed to go down very well. You've gotta love Mr Ts finest :p
They are here until Saturday, but I had a pre-arranged trip to meet 2 girlfriends at the Traf Centre tomorrow, so i am leaving DH with his DPs. I told him it would be nice quality time with them.....:D

I haven't even unpacked the suitcase yet. Our bed currently has the suitcase on it, assorted bits of carp and 2 cats. Maybe even a 3rd cat? Who knows?
I have decided that I am sick of living in this mess. The carp just gets moved around the house depending on which rooms we need to use. ENOUGH.
The first of my schoolfriends hit the big 50 today. 3 months until mine. I have decided it is time I started acting like a grown up. I've always wanted to be a grown up. :rotfl:
So, I need to go and fly otherwise we won't sleep tonight. Tomorrow will be minimal flying due to gallivanting......:D

Oh I agree boring boring no growing up allowed

I've done washing & had a nuked meal for tea, both boys have been showered (a new house rule to be more organised) I've had a shower and in PJs instead of clothes as dog can have last tiddle in the garden instead of needing walking so late. He doesn't mind and neither do I.

Still not opened the box, website for course opens on 21st September, suppose I should open it really so I can start planning
One day I might be more organised...........

    oooh

    *rubs back*

went to buy 2 new energy saving bulbs for bathroom light. First one blew and took the fuse with it. 2nd one was put on sill (by some moron) and dropped onto the tiled floor. So no ceiling light in bathroom as yet. It's not going to be eay to change that bulb when it needs it *sigh*

    (I was that moron)

Anyway been taken out to tea by a very nice gent;)

Is up at daft o'clock again.

Anyways, loaded DW...ahhh, its nice saying that, so wobbly top shelf, no holes in the cutlery holder...loving it.:j

    Plonked gammon in slowcooker.

Sat having a coffee looking at my new curtains and voile, and I must say it looks good, sorted it out yesterday and it really makes the room feel cosy and private.

The decluttering to ebay continues today and I lay awake figuring out exactly how much money I could save if I got rid of this and that. So another purge from the Triker household awaits.:D

I am, even....dum...dum....duuuuuuuummmmmmmm.....going to get rid of more of my cast iron and kitchen equipment. I really am. ;)

For those that aren't aware I love :happylove:iloveyou::smileyhea:happyhear:grinheart cast iron cookware and have got quite a collection over the years but I'm now going to go through and ruthlessly get rid of what I hardly use, which is a lot really.

So anyways, I'm off for another coffee and a mooch at ebay.:D
