I complained and received the following message in reply:

We have checked your account and found that you may have already
received an e-mail from us regarding this item. When we contacted
the supplier for an update we found that, unfortunately, the item is
no longer available.
Until recently we had still hoped to be able to obtain this item
from our supplier.
Please note that the availability and dispatch times listed on our
website are estimates only, and not guarantees. While we do our best
to adhere to these estimates, our inventory is constantly changing
based on information we receive directly from our suppliers, and
occasionally, unexpected fluctuations in supply can add time to your
order.
I do understand that such changes can be frustrating for you. Please
accept my most sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
Please be informed as a retailer, we solely depend upon the
supplierÂ’s discretion.
As we are currently unable to offer this item, it has been deleted
from your order, and you have not been charged for it. Please be
informed that cancelled orders will no longer appear in your account.

I would like to offer you a 3.00 GBP promotional gift certificate

well meerustar, it's nice to see an actual fan getting these .. you know I can't help but thinking that all these people who are desperate to get this item will know from the start how limited it is ... and yet pre-order it from Amazon or then make out that HMV are the bad guys for taking advance orders so noone can buy it from the shop!0

Just to let people know that I also got my order cancelled by Amazon and was given a £3 voucher.
However there seems to be a lot more copies on ebay than normal and I managed to bag a copy yesterday for £9 which when you take account of the Amazon voucher leaves you only £2 down on the normal price.

Is it just me that gets an error and I cannot send a message to Amazon through their contact us section on their site when you try to email them?
Theres an error on the page, and it always comes up with an error after pressing submit, saying "please fix the problems indicated below"
Hmm...Anybody got a direct email address to send to?

How did you contact Amazon to complain? I was another one who ordered and had the order cancelled. I'd also ordered a book to make sure I got free delivery but by the time I'd received the cancellation notice it was too late to cancel the book and I ended up having to pay a delivery charge for the book as the order was then under £15.0
