I did 4 fag runs to Latvia each time sticking to the recommended 16 pack
EU limit. 200 Marlboro were the equivalent of £7.50 a sleeve. All went swimmingly, until I changed my itinerary from Ryanair to Liverpool and flew
on Latvia's state airline Air Baltic into Manchester. It seemed obvious to me as I waited for my bag off the carousel, that HMRC had their eyes on me.
I guess they must scan inbound bags for Smokes. The officer was perfectly
civil and pointed out that new entrant EU states such as Latvia were limited
to the standard 1 pack or (200) cigarettes. I knew that so could'nt really
make a fuss. He even let me keep a sleeve, which seemed fair. Losing 15
packs was painful, but as the saying go's you win some, lose some.
Having discovered "matched betting" via this site I've curtailed my winter fag
runs, but the last couple of years proved to be enormously enjoyable in pursuit of the cheap cigarette. I've managed to see places that I would have
never normally been to, and met some very pleasant tobacconists on the way!
Anyway, I missed it so much we're off to Reus on Wednesday from Liverpool,
arriving 09.30, and will travel back up the coast, to Girona, stopping off in
Barcelona for lunch on the way. 12 hours away via O'learyair for £22 return
each, and 32 packs of fags that Gordon Brown can do nothing about. I estimate the saving on UK prices to be at least £1000, e.g 200 Marlboro
in UK are approx £52 and in Catalunya 29 Euros (£21). It's a no brainer surely?0 -

This reminds me of when I went to visit an elderly relative in the local hospital. He was in the rehab ward, which is in the same block as the part where they treat blood conditions and cancers. I saw a woman in a wheelchair outside the front door, puffing away on her fag. As I walked past I noticed she was actually having a blood transfusion at the time, and she had taken the bag of blood on its stand into the car park. I don't know why the hospitals bother!0 -

Ive stopped almost a year now but I used to get mine from Mainland Spain, There may be cheaper places but can also fill up on tappas and wine there .About 6 months ago the Spanish govt put up taxes on cigs by as much as 10 euros a sleeve so not as good a deal as it once was. Father in law buys royal crown there as they are much cheaper than bensons/regal but very similar .
Cheap flights to Malaga ( torremolinos is only a few km away) can be had with jet2, easyjet, , bmibaby, thomsonfly, flymonarch.com and ryanair. Check them all and your sure to find a bargain .
By the way I stopped by the easy way ,website below or buy the book . http://allencarr.com/central/On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
